Not trying to be controversial (female boxer with XY chromosome)

This really grinds my gears, it actually infuriates me!🤬

Italian boxer Angela Carini stopped her fight with Imane Khelif, who last year failed a gender test, in which he tested XY
Carini took two shots to the face from her Algerian opponent before throwing in the towel and breaking down in tears in the centre of the ring.

Khelif, a welterweight, was disqualified in India for elevated testosterone levels.
This is not fair, to women's sports.

Granted I do feel for him being born with DSD and perhaps he was raised a female by his parents, but gender does not Lie.

Should never be allowed to compete.
What happens when a female boxer dies in the ring from a punch from one of these people?
There is talk that if this trans-gender fighter issue can not be resolved then boxing might be dropped from the Olympic Games.

Taken from Men's Journal 2nd August 2024

Still, the IOC is looking into how to better implement gender eligibility rules moving forward. If the issue isn't resolved, you might not see boxing at all when the Olympics comes to Los Angeles in four years.

"The IOC has made it clear that it needs national boxing federations to reach a consensus around a new international federation in order for boxing to be included on the sports program of the Olympic Games LA28," the statement concluded.

My Canadian friend's Grandmother won silver in the 100 meter dash in 1932 at the L.A. Olympics. She lost to a "woman" who was later killed in a bank robbery...the autopsy showed she was actually a man.

The Grandmother was given a gold medal in her later senior years by the Olympic Committee I believe. My friend actually showed me her silver medal...I held it in my hand! Her last name was Strike.

Strike retired from competing in 1935 and became a stenographer living in Ottawa with her husband Fred Sisson. In 1980, the 1932 Olympic 100m champion Walasiewicz was shot to death during a store robbery in Cleveland, Ohio and the autopsy discovered that she was a hermaphrodite, with both masculine and feminine characteristics. The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) acknowledged that Strike was entitled to consider herself the world’s fastest woman at Los Angeles 1932 but no gold medal would be awarded. Her granddaughter reported, “You could see a special smirk on her face. She was thrilled to get the news that she was actually the fastest woman in the world on that day.” Just six months later, Strike died of a heart attack in Ottawa, at 78.

If all biological female athlets would not participate in matches with people with XY chromosomes, this would come to an end soon. But they are eager to win and yet come off a loser. Politics will not change the situation. The women must do it.
The Problem is the women don't know about it, it's all this new woke $hit, no one is allowed to say anything for fear of invading their privacy!

I agree with you, they shouldn't be allowed to compete, I hope the national boxing federations reach a consensus very soon.
It would be a shame to drop boxing from the Olympics.

Hmm...

I just wonder if Miss Strike's silver medal would be worth a pretty penny to a collector...what with all of these xy athletes competing nowadays in Sports...etc.

I feel for those that can't/won't identify with their "born with sex" and I have known a few. Often, neither men nor women will accept them. One such person I've known for over a year works at a local eatery. This person is very friendly, does a wonderful job, but is physically mixed up. By that I mean long dyed red hair, make up, earrings, a falsetto voice, feminine gestures, etc. But this person's body more resembles a stocky man, with a very covered up
chest. The only real clue I had was he/she went to the men's restroom, but even that isn't proof of gender.

My point is, I feel sorry for those that are "mixed up" that way.

But, that said, when it comes to competition where sex is a factor, you are either a man or a woman and anything "in the middle" needs their own category.

A fuming JK Rowling last night slammed an Olympic boxing match as 'a man beating a women in public for entertainment' after a female boxer once disqualified for failing a gender test forced out an Italian opponent.

A global backlash, led by Italy's prime minister and the Harry Potter author, ensued after Angela Carini quit to 'save my life' just 46 seconds into her bout against Algerian opponent Imane Khelif, claiming she had been hit so hard that she 'couldn't breathe'.

Rowling called Khelif a 'bullying cheat' and hit out at Olympic bosses who she branded 'disgraceful' for allowing the bout to go ahead.

Women's rights campaigner Ms Rowling tweeted a video of the fight and wrote: 'Watch this then explain why you're OK with a man beating a woman in public for your entertainment.

'This isn't sport. From the bullying cheat in red all the way up to the organisers who allowed this to happen, this is men revelling in their power over women.'

I'm sorry but the boxer in red looks very clearly male to me....

Carini's coach Emanuele Renzini reportedly said after the fight: 'I don't know if her nose is broken. But many people in Italy tried to call and tell her: 'Don't go please: It's a man, it's dangerous for you'.'

The United Nations' Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, Reem Alsalem, backed Carini saying she 'rightly followed her instincts and prioritised her physical safety, but she and other female athletes should not have been exposed to this physical and psychological violence based on their sex.'

And Labour MP and feminist campaigner Rosie Duffield told the Mail: 'For days, we have been highlighting the potential danger of this specific event to the IOC [International Olympic Committee] who chose to go ahead and ignore us.'

Former Prime Minister Liz Truss also said: 'When will this madness stop?'

I agree with PM Truss. Gender changing, "identifying" as something you're not... those are entirely separate issues and shouldn't have crossed with sports. In sports competitions like this, it is a MAN hitting a woman in a global Olympics competition and it doesn't matter if he's currently "identifying" as a woman... or an octopus.

The subject of having "unfair advantage" is monumental in every aspect of life. Humans are very competitive. There are social justice fights for equality that number in the millions. From housing, to income, to war and power over others. How can we find answers to all this unfairness? Humans love to fight apparently, or we HAVE to fight. The winners are ruining everything.

After she quit, when he came up to her side and put his arm on her shoulder, instead of turning away, she should have turned and
cold cocked him right in the face and said, "OK, now that's a fair fight!"
I know. That's just in my dreams. They're controversial.
