Yesterday I had a longer than usual walk in the morning. Had to go to the health clinic and see a nurse for a blood sample to be taken: something to do with my kidneys due to the gout tablets I'm on atm. Anyway, I normally drive there but due to roadworks and parking problems I just walked, unfortunately there are a couple of slopes which take it out of me.
Anyway, got that over and done with albeit a mistake by the nurse meant she took someone who had an appointment 20 minutes after me got taken before me. Decided to cut the grass with our lighter electric mower in the afternoon then sat down after that with a couple of refreshments.
Today I have no plans to do heehaw bar watch Yellowstone which I have just started watching. Unfortunately can't get series one so only got series 2 & 3.

Good morning. @hawkdon When your lawn dude gets done with your yard, wudju send him over here? It's gonna be hot today, and I don't wanna mow.

Imagine my surprise when checking my bank account to see that there's a deposit from Kroger. I dunno what it's for and don't even care. Maybe PTO that I didn't know I had? It's only $149, but $149 is more than I need for a , la t-shirt.

Gotta throw on my duds and get more weeding done in the iris bed.

Cataract surgery remains the most frequently performed surgical procedure in the UK, with almost half a million operations performed every year, according to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

Wow. It is happening and will only spread. Maybe it will be better, with no employees there might be a few more doctors/Rn's.? This not seeing your primary for 8 months off is absurd. I think if there goes something wrong in my treatment I have to see any of the doctors in their "team". That's what happened when I had that hernia a few months back. Never saw these people before. They did take care of it in a timely manner. That triple hernia repair was $48,000. Hard to imagine...a robot does the work, they run the computers. I can see how the article you posted is helpful. A new world is descending on us. :eek:

It seems this IS going to catch on. More of our time interacting with AI.
 
It is like dream land out here today. 70F a little cloudy but low humidity. Last week it was like a sauna out there and mosquitos everywhere. It goes form last week=Hell Now=Heaven. All in just a week. They say if you don't like the weather here in Missouri, wait a couple hours.... It will change :)

GP services across England begin collective action on Thursday 1 August for an indefinite period. While there may be some disruption to services practices remain open as usual and patients can make requests by phone, on-line or by walking in.


During collective action, practices will be open during the usual hours. Please check your practice website for information about opening times.


It is vital that patients still attend their appointments unless they are told otherwise, and your practice should inform you of any changes to services.


The nature of the action means that the impacts will vary at different GP practices and from area to area but could include GPs limiting the number of patient appointments per day. Please check your practice’s website for information about any changes to the service that your practice is providing and how to get help if you need it.

@hollydolly Is that a polite way of saying they are on strike?

Lots of catching up on this side of the pond…. Groceries, library, yard clean up…. Older granddaughter is still out of school so I will take her shopping for her mom’s birthday gift 💝

yes..not quite on strike, but very reduced services... already hardly possible to make an appointment, so in many places it will be impossible now. Made me laugh when I read that people can still walk in to a GP surgery and get an appointment, most of us haven't been able to do that for years :(

Okay, then. More weeds gone from the iris bed. There are more to do that I can probably finish tomorrow morning. The lawn has been mowed and the flowers watered.

There are new baby flowers sprouting every morning. The packet for zinnias said 35 from germination to bloom. That seems kind of soon, but who am I to question?

It's hot🥵 and only going to get hotter. No rain in sight again for days and days.

I changed my mind about the , la shirt, not because I don't want it but because, sad to say, it could be dangerous to wear it in public. Not kidding. This is what we've become. Enough of that before I get political!
 
Ok..can you all have a look around my house inside cupboards and drawers please.

I'm trying to find some Curtain Pole rings . I have a whole packet of 2 inch rings which I bought to match the colour of my curtain rails.. about 4 years ago in case I needed extra rings.

I'm just about to hang the new curtains and I remember the extra rings, and guess what ?.. they're not in the drawer where I've always kept them.. and I have searched everywhere that I can think..no luck.

I'm highly frustrated because I don't want to hang the new curtains only to find the extra rings, and have to take the curtains down again..

This isn't a surprise to me really.. the first 18 months, even longer.... I kinda lost my mind after the deceit of the O/H...and really I did things in the house that had no rhyme or reason.. and in the last few months I've found things, and seen things, and thought WTH ... did I do that ? ...so goodness knows what I've done with the Rings.. I do know for sure I wouldn't have thrown them out or donated them.. so they have to be here somewhere.. but where ?:unsure:

Not under my bed..I have an Ottoman bed... only keep bedding under there and books...

Sewing notions...?..that's the first place I looked because that's where I've kept them all this time :unsure:
