Sadly, it seems to be a fact that many people cannot publicly debate issues with civility.
When a person disagrees with someone, some individuals immediately default to the belief that the person must hate them or is stupid.
No, the person can still like and respect you but have a different opinion and not be stupid.
This attitude causes division, anger and tribalism.
It hinders hope of meaningful progress with many issues.
I would like, for the sake of sanity, that topics be discussed with respect for each others diverse thoughts and opinions.
Have your say, put your case without vitriol and the world will be a nicer, more understanding place.
Screaming, mocking and vilifying contrary people does not help or support discussions.
