They look so healthy Dennis.View attachment 364098 These are the chicks we got in April...one turned into a rooster.![]()
Around my mother's place in N.B., there's so many deer you really have to be careful driving along the two lane, rather narrow and twisty road where her house was. They'll jump out of ditch or from behind some trees and you have no time to avoid them. Lots of broken cars & injured or worse deer along there almost every day. I won't drive along that road after sunset - too riskyAnother mother and her fawn just behind our house. They aren’t the least bit afraid of us

Same here with the Deer or the Muntjac...also the pheasants fly into your windscreen....Around my mother's place in N.B., there's so many deer you really have to be careful driving along the two lane, rather narrow and twisty road where her house was. That’s what it’s like here. Luckily the deer we see are smart and patient. They wait for the cars to either stop or pass by before they cross the road. The highway is very curvy and hilly. Luckily I’ve never seen anyone hit one.Around my mother's place in N.B., there's so many deer you really have to be careful driving along the two lane, rather narrow and twisty road where her house was. I heard one get hit when I was outside working at my Mum's place years ago. When a vehicle hits a living thing; person, deer or whatever it makes a very specific sound. Not like hitting another car or a tree or something. It's just a dull thud after some screaching tires. Never a good thing. That’s what it’s like here. Luckily the deer we see are smart and patient. In the spring we slow down expecting to see a deer and a fawn or two.
Well I’m glad to say I’ve never heard that sound before. Touch wood.I heard one get hit when I was outside working at my Mum's place years ago.
