I suspect that it's biology. While women live longer, they go through the transition to asexual being far earlier in life. Child bearing years begin and end far younger than the equivalent in men. We tend to deny that culturally but our bodies know better.

It just is what it is.
 
@dilettante, Men are effected the same with age related problems as women. Women accept this as part of the nature of life and aging. Most men who suffer issues in this arena are not willing to accept that they are no longer young, as their body does not cooperate.

Many men refuse to admit the truth of it. Now with modern medicine, i.e., the little blue pill lets them feel they are still young and virile. The truth is nothing would be happening with out that little gem invented just so they can live in a false reality.

After menopause some women have no desire but most do if they are in a loving relationship. There is no little pink pill needed for assistance.
 
By the age of 35 a woman's body is already shutting down. That's why carrying a child at 35 is medically a geriatric pregnancy even though today doctors are forced to express it in more politically correct terms.

The reality of this is why it carries over into other social aspects of life in addition to reproduction.

It has nothing to do with vanity or blue pills, which at best merely address one thing and have no impact on either fertility or libido.

None of this is anybody's fault. It's just life.

It's really not rocket science that men are going to have problems if they choose to become involved in relationships with bar girls and prostitutes. Do you really think it would be any different if foreign males came to the United States or Canada and involved themselves in relationships with the local prostitutes? My Thai wife, whom I have been married to for 38 years, was a pediatric nurse when I married her in Bangkok in1986. My old junior high school classmate David ******* also lives here in Thailand and not far from me and he has been happily married to a lovely Thai woman for about 25 years. That being said, about forty to fifty percent of American marriages end in divorce so getting hitched in the good old USA can be a risky proposition, particularly so given the fact that U.S. courts almost always favor women over men.

If men really want a woman; really want a relationship; they should examine that a desirable woman might not want an undesirable man and change their expectations accordingly. But some men don't. They want their fantasy or no woman at all. Some become misogynist incels instead of facing mature realities.

Mature women have been settling for ugly males for millennia, but the ugly males today think a normal woman not good enough for them. Peter Pan syndrome. In other words, they want no grown up relationship at all. 'Heart of Gold' syndrome is my name for it. Keep searching for that heart of gold, i.e. physical beauty, and You're getting old looking for what is unattainable as in your heart of hearts no one is good enough for you.

Thank you Oslooskar! This thread began with a few posts about the big, nasty prostitution ring in Thailand and then someone came to the conclusion that we were "demonizing" Asian women! Of course not. My husband lived in Thailand when he was younger and had a lovely Thai girlfriend who worked in a bank, my best friend in West Virginia is married to a Thai man we adore. We love the culture and it's people.

Whether it's Thailand, Amsterdam or Las Vegas, it's the s*x trafficing, the drug culture, the pimps and the pedophiles within those districts, that we are disgusted with, not the rest of the population.

I actually thought we were pretty clear about that, but a few men here took the opportunity to tell us all how unattractive American women were compared with the rest of the world. Thanks. We've heard it before.

I read a really interesting article a few years back entitled, He's Just Not That Into Anyone,* about the number of young men today who choose not to date real women at all, but prefer to stay home with their computer. Some have a regular rotation of porn "girlfriends" and actually dress up for "dates," with them. They've come of age with these sites since they were 14 and by the time they had their first real life experience they were conditioned to expect certain things and found real girls very disappointing.

I absolutely respect when it is a marriage between two people who really are in love. I know that there are good respectable Thai ladies, educated and sincere. I am truly glad you are happy with your lady.
 
I read that article again and find it even more depressing, and to think that was in 2011 -- it's only become much worse.

In other words young men are taking all the tender, protective emotions that they once felt for their girlfriends and directing them to the porn stars. So a few hundred photoshopped actresses are receiving the "love" of a million men, while young women are not finding anyone to marry, no matter how much they, "step up their game."

You may call me sentimental or whatever. But as I found and read this thread I've continuously thought of an episode from the old "Star Trek" with Captain James T. Kirk. I never forgot this episode, although being a child while watching it the first time. Watch this short video from "Mudd's Women" and you see what I am meaning.

Yes, many such men are exchanging real women with decades of experiencing perverted porn fantasies and paid for seks that then becomes what they are as one becomes what one does and experiences via neural plasticity. Apparently there are mysogonistic men who hate women and form groups to discuss their hatred, I read something about it. Such as the ones who wanted to hurt Hollie Willoughby. It is just terrible to think of such men.

Fortunately most men are good and decent I think. It's nice to hear a man say he likes women, liking is good and important.

I don't think that especially in my example this was taken to be serious. The young man who said this more than two decades ago, said it with a tongue-in-cheek. He was a very funny person also. But of course in regard to other men you are right.

But we must not forget, that there exist fanatical feminists too, who demand castration of ALL men, or even killing them. This is not a joke. I don't want to provide links to such websites here, but I have seen them and know that they exist.

Please, let me tell you some of my history. My father was a war veteran of WW2 (unfortunately from the wrong side, from your point of view), but he has lost his left arm at a very high level. And this at age 22 in 1944 only some months before the end of war. There was only the shoulder joint left, thus not enough for a prosthesis. As he met my mother in the 1950s, their female(!) colleagues at work said "how can you marry such a cripple?"

I've lived with a disabled father from birth. Thus I never looked upon disabled persons as inferior. On the contrary, I'd have married a disabled woman without any hesitation. But it didn't happen. Nevertheless I was older than most people, as I married. It is possible that my view on men and women comes from my experience.
