Star my mother used to use the expression "fix a pallet" when she referred to putting sheets or quilts on the floor or couch for someone to sleep on. In my case the pallet will be on the barrel chair that's in the bedroom of this suite. I tried with the bed but it is not working.
I haven't slept in a bed and almost 10 years, other than trying a couple of times when I came to the resort. Two reasons:
~ I'd wake up feeling like someone beat me up, I would be so achy. Strange thing is I have what I call a Tempur-Pedic waterbed. It's a cylinder water bed with a Tempur-Pedic topping and it's quite comfortable actually, but for some unknown reason, not for my body anymore.
~ Around the same time I started feeling achy when waking up from the bed I realized after falling asleep in my recliner that sleeping with my head elevated helped to alleviate the palpitations caused by my atrial fibrillation. Bonus.... no achy feeling!
This works out so well. When I invited my son to move back in with me I knew he could sleep in the master bedroom. Our second bedroom had been converted to a music studio/office years ago.
