I don't get it despite getting pestered by the surgery to have it... simply because everyone I know who has the jab get a version of the Flu...maybe milder but they get it... I don't get the jab and I don't get the flu...Just back from my flu jab
Mrs.L and I are eligible for both Covid and flu jabs, but only have the Covid one. We've never had a reaction before and I hope this one's the same as it's shortly before our next holiday.I don't get it despite getting pestered by the surgery to have it... simply because everyone I know who has the jab get a version of the Flu...maybe milder but they get it... They made me drive 40 miles to that place...the crystal palace of modern medicine, because they stopped my prescriptions suddenly. My previous Dr. quit, and left me a 3 month supply. The earliest I could see my new Dr. is Nov. 5th!!! The three months were not enough to keep them coming, so instead of just OKing the meds until Nov. 5th, I had to go all the way in to SEE A DOCTOR!! Why!? They almost always screw something up. AT least I won't go into withdrawls now. As they keep making medicine more and more automated I feel like patients are starting to fade into the matrix along with the rest of the 1's and 0's.@Paco Dennis When I see stuff like this, I think 'we pay for it.'
Awful awful awful. I'm so sorry. And yes, you are helping to pay for it. Give me a good clean clinic with enough staff. That's all we need. Not as you rightly stated, that crystal palace. They made me drive 40 miles to that place...the crystal palace of modern medicine, because they stopped my prescriptions suddenly. yes always did and I still find mysef calling them that after 50 years in England..where they call them Jabs...Mrs.L and I are eligible for both Covid and flu jabs, but only have the Covid one. We've never had a reaction before and I hope this one's the same as it's shortly before our next holiday.
Hollydolly, we always called injections 'jags'. Was that the same with you?
Star my mother used to use the expression "fix a pallet" when she referred to putting sheets or quilts on the floor or couch for someone to sleep on. In my case the pallet will be on the barrel chair that's in the bedroom of this suite. I tried with the bed but it is not working. What do you mean, fix a pallet? You don't typically sleep in a bed?
I've gotta say, this is freaking brilliant, HD.
Keep your chin up, Pepper, we are all wishing you well.I have something I need to say but can't go into details right now, because I'm scared. I don't want to be accused of being vague, or whatever. That Telehealth conference my doctor requested last week? It did not go well. I haven't told my son as he was on vacation last week and I didn't want to spoil it for him.
My blood work indicated something possibly very dangerous. I can't say more, my mind is absorbing it and I must speak to my son. I'm supposed to make an appointment with a GI specialist (I had stage 3 colon cancer 20 years ago). Currently, I'm freezing up. I'm quietly panicking. I don't want to think about it or even make the appointment.
That's all I can say right now and perhaps I said too much.
I don't want it, but if they make me wear a mask at work without getting the flu shot, I might.I don't get it despite getting pestered by the surgery to have it... simply because everyone I know who has the jab get a version of the Flu...maybe milder but they get it...
