I am just a Techi Idiot, so I'm on tenterhooks that the Shark Cordless Vac, has arrived in about 10 pieces.... I'll guarantee I will have trouble putting it together... :(

You'll be able to figure it out, @hollydolly .. there aren't too many pieces put together.

Ended up not going to the store, but made sauce w/ Italian sausages, put together a pasta casserole w/ Parm cheese, Mozz, sausage and sauce, as tho' a lasagna and baked. Yum.

Took a longer walk with dog; such a beautiful day! Swept the deck, watered my pots, cut back the basil to freeze in olive oil, did a load of laundry and some vacuuming.

I hope it works very well because it cost a lot of money... 🙏 first off the bat tho' is that it's much heavier than I expected.. but yes once I get it assembled I'll let you know...
Did you need one for pets? My friend bought a Dyson model for pets by mistake and hated it because it was so fiddley to maintain after using and she found it rather heavy. We have the Dyson non-pet model and find it light and easy to maintain. Maybe you don’t need the Shark pet model.

Had to return to the hairdresser for a repair of yesterday’s cut. It had a bulky area on the one side at the back. Feels better but I still took a little more out once I got home.

It’s beautiful fall weather here so enjoyed the walks.

Talked to my older daughter for an hour and a half. They just got home from over a two week RV trip in the Maritimes. Loved it there. Beautiful fall colours there too.

yes I did get one for pets because my Miele is for pets as well and I got them because I have long hair, and it needs to be able to vac that up easily

Mornin' folkies...it's very overcast and 52 deg. At some point today I should start trying to put the new Vac together.. and also attach the new keyboard to my computer. ...but right now I;m just not in the mood for either...

It's almost 11.30am.. I'll go instead, and make myself some brunch.....(y)
I need a cordless vac.get tired of tripping on the cord,I have a cat so I vac about every day for cat hairs.im also interested in how good it is.

I like my corded vac. It always has power. Mostly I mean the small electric broom.
If I change my big vac I might go to a cordless.
@hollydolly I like my Miele. It's actually a Kenmore but made by Miele. I used to sell vacuums at Sears and knew what to buy.
It's pretty old now but I can still get the bags and filters through Amazon.

A cordless would be nice around here. We vacuum about once a week and the cord can be a real hassle sometimes. You have to plan on how to use the vac AND the cord. I use to clean houses for a living. I have used every vacuum under the sun. :) All off them have something that is bad about them. You have to work with what you got. You do have to choose wisely about it's mobility, and power. The dirt chamber is important too. How easy it is to empty and keep clean. The price of a good cordless might be too much compared to the ones with cords, I don't know that, it just seems like they would.?

Good chilly morning, boys and girls. Are we all in our places with bright, shiny faces? It's 46F here this morning. After yesterday's bobcat visit, I decided not to drink coffee on the teeny, tiny patio and drank it in the kitchen instead.

I'm making bread this morning. Because.

Today is Chalktoberfest at the square. Artists from all over draw with chalk on the streets and turn out some really amazing work. DD and DGD are going to meet DGD's former roommate to admire their handiwork, but I think I'm gonna stay home this time around. It'll be a nice day (if a bit chilly), but I'm just not feeling the crowds this morning. Besides, it's already just after 7am, and making bread will take about four hours.

@hollydolly I think you'll be surprised how easy it'll be to assemble your new vac. You certainly do sound intimidated😨. Naaah. Don't be.

DS has a cordless that he's had for a couple of years and really likes it. I don't know how well they work on carpet...his place has only hardwood floors.

Gotta get a move on and get started. BBL

Oh, Chalktoberfest sounds fun!
I wonder if the bobcat was displaced by the hurricane?

See...this is why I wait until late at night to post about my day. Things don't always go as planned. I fell asleep and woke up at 11:51 p.m. After feeding my fur baby and cleaning the litter box, it was after midnight when I took out the garbage. I watched World News Tonight and a bit more of Found. "Little Girl" was relaxing on my lap and since I hate to disturb her, I relaxed too. Went back to sleep, It's 7:15 a.m. and still haven't loaded the dishwasher. I'm going to have breakfast, then I'll do it. As I mentioned before, the dishes are thoroughly rinsed after using them, so it's not like dirty dishes are sitting around.

I am intimidated for 2 reasons..one because I"m a techi Idiot... and 2 because there's so many parts to it, I barely know where to start... your son has a man's brain for techi things... I am a mere female at this lol

I have a corded Cat & Dog Miele.. It's a brilliant machine.. picks up everything and I've had it 15 years ... but it's very heavy to do the stairs with.. and especially trying to avoid tripping over the cord... which is why I got the Shark cordless..

I'm not a religious person. I'm an atheist. Yet I always light a candle at sunset of the beginning of Yom Kippur for the souls I loved and lost in my life. There are 10. I hope there are no more for the rest of my existence here on earth. I also try to remember and atone for the year passed and to learn from these errors.

My son and grandson are coming! So, it won't be a mournful day. What can I say? Old habits die hard I guess. I wonder if my grandson will notice the candle. If so, I look forward to explaining the reason for it. He's old enough. He's six. I knew all the miseries of life in my first year. It was different then.

My father used to take us to hear the shofar blast signalling the end of Yom Kippur. I miss that.
