Another face cord and a half of firewood to cut, split, and stack today. And that will take care of next years fire wood. What I cut this year will be left to dry in the shed one full year.
Hugs to you, friend!I have something I need to say but can't go into details right now, because I'm scared. I don't want to be accused of being vague, or whatever. That Telehealth conference my doctor requested last week? It did not go well. I haven't told my son as he was on vacation last week and I didn't want to spoil it for him.
My blood work indicated something possibly very dangerous. I can't say more, my mind is absorbing it and I must speak to my son. I'm supposed to make an appointment with a GI specialist (I had stage 3 colon cancer 20 years ago). Currently, I'm freezing up. I'm quietly panicking. I don't want to think about it or even make the appointment.
That's all I can say right now and perhaps I said too much.
I watched the clip twice and didn't find her saying duvet.I think you are a Caveman...they've been called Duvets; for at lest 40 years... comforters are a differnt thing... I have both
Duvet's come in various Tog sizes .. comforters don't... Duvets come in different filling, Cmforters generally don;t...

NO I didn't see her say it either... but in any case we pronounce it Du-Vay...here a duvet doesn't cover a blanket or comforter it's a ''Blanket' in it's own sense with it's own tog rating... .. a Duvet COVER..covers a blanket or duvet...I watched the clip twice and didn't find her saying duvet.
In any event, we say, duu' vay. In these parts, a duvet covers a blanket or a comforter that gets stuffed inside and secured (so it doesn't ball up). Kind of like a big flat bag.
It's also often referred to as a duvet cover here, which is redundant because our duvets are nothing but covers.NO I didn't see her say it either... but in any case we pronounce it Du-Vay...here a duvet doesn't cover a blanket or comforter it's a ''Blanket' in it's own sense with it's own tog rating... .. a Duvet COVER..covers a blanket or duvet...
Gotcha. Mystery solved!!!I suppose I was laughing at the way she insists on pronouncing the last name "Bucket" as "Boo-kay."
no, duvets here are these...It's also often referred to as a duvet cover here, which is redundant because our duvets are nothing but covers.
Kind of like saying "twelve midnight." Um, midnight is already twelve.
Weird, I know, but I don't make up the rules...
Good example. Thats what a duvet and a duvet cover are.no, duvets here are these...

Duvet covers are what you put over them to keep them clean

Some insurances cover that. Have you checked pappy?A beautiful cool day here in Pappyland. I think the heat is gone for a few months.
Hated to do it, but had to throw out a refrigerator full of spoiled food. Broke our hearts to lose this much food as we only can allow just so much money for our groceries. Anyway it’s done. Now we take an afternoon nap.![]()
