I have something I need to say but can't go into details right now, because I'm scared. I don't want to be accused of being vague, or whatever. That Telehealth conference my doctor requested last week? It did not go well. I haven't told my son as he was on vacation last week and I didn't want to spoil it for him.

My blood work indicated something possibly very dangerous. I can't say more, my mind is absorbing it and I must speak to my son. I'm supposed to make an appointment with a GI specialist (I had stage 3 colon cancer 20 years ago). Currently, I'm freezing up. I'm quietly panicking. I don't want to think about it or even make the appointment.

That's all I can say right now and perhaps I said too much.
Hugs to you, friend!

It's a glorious sunny day... very warm in my suntrap of a back garden..🌞🌞 despite it only being mid 50's today...

I would have loved to have gone out, but my new Keyboard, and Shark Vaccum is arriving today and I have to be here to give the driver a special code that was sent to me.. . They were originally going to be delivering by 12.30... but they've changed the time now until between 1pm and 4pm... so that's vetoed any idea of going out... and we're going to have rain tomorrow..

I think you are a Caveman..:ROFLMAO:.they've been called Duvets; for at lest 40 years... comforters are a differnt thing... I have both

Duvet's come in various Tog sizes .. comforters don't... Duvets come in different filling, Cmforters generally don;t...

duvet vs comforter - Google Search
I watched the clip twice and didn't find her saying duvet.

In any event, we say, duu' vay. In these parts, a duvet covers a blanket or a comforter that gets stuffed inside and secured (so it doesn't ball up). Kind of like a big flat bag.

NO I didn't see her say it either... but in any case we pronounce it Du-Vay...here a duvet doesn't cover a blanket or comforter it's a ''Blanket' in it's own sense with it's own tog rating... .. a Duvet COVER..covers a blanket or duvet...

TGS is coming today and staying until tomorrow late afternoon. DDIL thought his school was closed today for Yom Kippur so she asked us to take him. (Yay and of course!) Turns out school is letting out early, but DS is dropping him off early this morning anyway since we'd already arranged it.

That his very first day EVER of ditching school will be spent with me is poetic, given how often I ditched during my last couple of years of HS. (I was bored to tears and couldn't wait to be sprung.)

My day's activities will be mostly guided by what a soon-to-be-three-year-old's mood and desires dictate. Luckily he has a sunny dispostion and loves being here. It's 61° right now, heading up to 90°, so we'll take our neighborhood walk early-ish.

It's also often referred to as a duvet cover here, which is redundant because our duvets are nothing but covers.
Kind of like saying "twelve midnight." Um, midnight is already twelve.

Weird, I know, but I don't make up the rules...

That darned bobcat tromped through some of my favorite flowers and killed them...dug them right up at the spot where the stems meet the roots

We did our Aldi thing this morning and came away without falling victim to the Aisle of Shame. Wait. DD got a digital alarm clock that lights up and stays lit for DGD's BF.

Probably no garden centers today. No Kohl's, either. But a trip to Publix maybe later this afternoon.

Today I got my delivery of the new Shark cordless Vac.... and the new keyboard.. hopefully this will put an end to all the missing letters and spelling mistakes on my posts..which drive me nuts .. I bought some shampoo from Amazon, I wouldn't normally do that.. choosing always to buy from the bricks and mortar stores.. but the shampoo was much cheaper on Amazon than it is in Tesco.. so I got that as well

DD rang she usually only stays on a call for about 10 minutes the time it takes her to drive home or to work.. she has a trrible signal at her house.. but today she was driving back from somewhere else, so she was on the call for about 30 minutes.. we were arranging for our Mother/ daughter Christmas lunch in December.. I always look forward to that a great deal every year... we usually go somewhere very upmarket, it's our treat...

I haven't opened the new Vac yet.. I'm gonna go and do that now, so I can get all the packing out in the bin... before it gets dark... it's 5.40 now, sunset is at 6.15pm

Thinking about Tempura Prawns for dinner tonight...

A beautiful cool day here in Pappyland. I think the heat is gone for a few months.

Hated to do it, but had to throw out a refrigerator full of spoiled food. Broke our hearts to lose this much food as we only can allow just so much money for our groceries. Anyway it’s done. Now we take an afternoon nap. 😴😴
Some insurances cover that. Have you checked pappy?

Last quiet day at home before yet another weekend of outdoor street art/food music festival fun that is the ninth in recent months plus another 3 weekends of big stadium rock concerts. Each of which I mostly freestyle d at. So this morning studied and made copies of maps to understand which highways/roads to take, where to street park for free, where stages are set up, restrooms and where drinking water fountains be. Also where I can walk to markets versus buying vendor foods that always have huge serving sizes I have no interest in consuming at $$ prices.

Even though I'm back home, I'm still vacationing. I spent some time catching up on posts here and on Facebook. As far as the rest of the evening, besides loading and running the dishwasher, scooping the litter box and taking out the garbage (my son is out of town), I'm not planning to do anything else but relax and watch my shows. I don't even have to cook this weekend. :D
