I have just one word for men who want to control women - Lysistrata.
 
I really wish people that are asking a question [or] questioning a previous post, would state whom they are talking to , questioning, etc.

I have always gotten the impression that the effort to be in total control in marriage is far stronger in women than it is in men. Husbands are usually trying to avoid getting into a fix with the easily-angered wives by being non-confrontational, while the wives are marching around giving orders.

Also, in the Latino Jehovah's Witness congregation, I observed the married "sisters" regularly talking about how stupid men are, and boasting among themselves about how easily they were able to control them.

"They are the head? Well I am the neck that controls the head!" one sister boasted during a conversation in the field ministry.
"I can easily walk down this hill. But I will make him drive up the hill to pick me up!" she added proudly.
