DD thought DGD's MRI was today at 10 so she worked her away-from-home job yesterday. Turned out that the appointment is at 2:45. Maybe, just maybe, we'll go to Aldi today so she (we!) can visit the Aisle of Shame. DD isthisclose to being inducted into the Aisle of Shame Hall of Fame ;)

Bed linens in the washer. Breakfast was two pieces of raisin bread with peanutbutter. Next up is cleaning the litter box, then getting dressed.

This life in the fast lane is exhausting🏎️🏎️ Maybe I'll go to truck-driving school. Truck drivers aren't allowed to use the fast lane.

I actually felt like saying that..I was this close to saying it. I thought they must sit there all day going through adverts jumping on every one of them... and almost always they give themselves away immediately either with their bad English syntax... or their immediate demand for your phone number via whatsapp...

I just tell them I don't have whatsapp... then it's amazing how quickly these people who are so desperate for your stuff, lose interest..

One was called ''maggie''.. he or she has been renamed in my reply as Maggot.. and the other was called ''Kate.'' spelled ''THIEF'' in my mind lol

My dog is not doing well. For about 3-4 months now, her walk has been a little weak, but for the past few days, it's worse. Yesterday she could barely walk! Same today. I have to take her to the vet, maybe today if I can get her in the car. I couldn't carry her to the car I don't think.

Last night my son was here. He said I could call him to get her there, but he works as does Dil who runs a day-care. All my neighbors work. There's one other person I can call, after I call the vet......

Doggie is 14 this month. I may have to make a decision that will break my heart.
 
Usual Thursday for me: gym, Library, etc.

We took Mom to vote (she says hi to you) yesterday, so that is one less stop for us today.

My back is better today, but I'm still not ready to

Glorious sunny day here, I wish I'd chosen today to go out instead of yesterday. Today I have to stay home because I have a delivery due soon.. and also I want to keep an eye on the Advert for the sofas on the first day..

I've been dismantling items I no longer need, and will either put them up for sale or take them to the shop to be sold at the recycle centre.. I ahve to admit I don't know what they do with the money they get for stuff at those recycle shops at the waste site..

Oh Rose... I pray your sweet doggie can be made to feel better. Our precious animals hold such a big place in our hearts. Please keep us posted. 💕
 
@RadishRose so sorry to hear this. That is a very hard situation. We are not there in body, but well there for you in spirit.
I don't know if you have this service by you, but here we have mobile vets that will come to your home, and even put them to sleep if needed. Some of my neighbors use those services. The animals also seem to be much more at ease that way.

Thank you @Rossana. No mobile vet close enough. I think now, that we can make it till Sat. when my son is available. Doggie can make it outside, and also has pee-pads.
 
Remember that old commercial for Excedrin …. “I’ve got Excedrin headache # 42…. “. Well I don’t know what it’s # is, but I’ve been trying to get my driver’s license renewed online and I definitely have a Headache! I feel like I’ve been sent through a maze that goes nowhere 😒

So sorry .. my heart goes out to you. I didn’t realize it was to this point.

In the back of my head are the very same thoughts about what is soon to come. I really understand the agony.

@hearlady We went to Aldi, and they didn't have the jammies that were advertised but did have the short ones. Maybe your Aldi has the Ladies Loungewear (with pockets) this week?

I didn't get anything from the Aisle of Shame, but DD did. Told ya! She needs to be in the Hall of Fame :ROFLMAO:

Sheets are washed and dried. I gotta make the blankety-blank bed as soon as Maggiecat gives up her napping spot where I need to step.
 
I need a used drafting table to draw up the design for my invention, so after my nap, I'm going to try to buy one. There are a couple I'm interested in. I might just get a drafting board. A table would be nicer, though. I could do it on a CAD system, but that would be a pain in the butt and would take a lot longer. And I just prefer drafting by hand. I can concentrate on the design and not how to use the software.

Today was a good day. Our eldest daughter came up from London to go out for a meal and to her new Likkle Neice. She's staying until Sunday, maybe Monday. Hoping for some quality Daddy Daughter time with her for at least half a day. I've only seen her once since Christmas!
