Shopping day today... groan.
I do believe that's called fickle. Fickle is when you only want something until you can have it. Then you don't want it any more![]()

I'm glad you still cook. Chicken and dumplings and pineapple sheet cake sound so good! So do enchiladas!I went out today to Kroger to take advantage of some loss leader sales, Brand name Kelllogs cereals, $1.99 box, large size Chips Ahoy cookies for $3.00, 6lbs of butter for the freezer (holiday cooking], lots of Campbells Soups for cold weather and receipes. I got some lovely chicken breasts, that I have poached now. Making sour cream enchiladas tomorrow, Will save some of the meat and broth for freezer for chicken and dumplings when we have our first 50degree day.
I need to make another dessert but I have not decided, I think a pineapple sheet cake with cream cheese frosting, I have all the ingredients by say a lemon meringue sounds good as well.
That is sometimes a hard thing when we live alone, trying to decide what to cook. Used to be the husband and the son set the menu and I would just cook, I am kind of lost without there input.
It was good to get out since I have not been out for a week. See lots more streets around town are going through construction. I don;t like it but it has to be done to keep up with growth.
Maybe a heating element @hollydolly ? If it's 25 years it's probably a good one but the elements do wear out.@Blessed Bite your tongue! First 50degree day? Noooooo!
@hollydolly Oh, my. Is there a way in the world that parts can be had to repair the dryer?
Y'all need to excuse me for a while. I gotta wake up. My eyes being open doesn't mean a thing.
Since, in theory, you’re only going to be moving on from that house in the near future, why not buy one of these and make do. You’ll need a dryer in the house when you sell. The manufacturers of the one I have which is 25 years old, no longer make these smaller dryers, and the smaller dryers on the market now by other companies are fairly poor performances in comparison.
Yes, take it wasy @Trila. Hurray for your normal mammo! My mammogram was quite a fiasco, since the main machine was down and I had to walk out to the mobile unit. It was a miserable experience, but at least the results came back "normal".
My back is slightly better today, and it feels more like a sore muscle(s). I'm getting relief with gentle stretching. So I don't think it is kidneys after all, and I did not call the doctors office for an appointment. I'll see how it goes.
I'm still not doing very much. This afternoon, Dio and I are probably going to take my Mom to vote.
well the thing is the o/h repaired it twice over the years.. Just bought a part online for a few pounds and repaired, it saving a substantial amount of money on calling out a repair man. However this time, when it blew, whatever caused it.. the same day the handle snapped off the door...so I can't even close the door on it either..so even if I was willing to pay a repair guy, the handle and little door clip is broken beyond repair so it has to go...Maybe a heating element @hollydolly ? If it's 25 years it's probably a good one but the elements do wear out.
We only ever have mobie units here.. all situated in Supermarket car parks !My mammogram was quite a fiasco, since the main machine was down and I had to walk out to the mobile unit. It was a miserable experience, but at least the results came back "normal".
