Just as an update... Some of you will remember I mentioned that my older daughter had been fired from her hospice job back about a month ago. At the time it seemed like a disaster.

Hurricane Helene came through... She and the two grandgirls went to stay with friends in N. Georgia (not affected by storm).

Long-story short, she has landed a well-paid job up there (also home-visiting hospice) and is in the process of relocating. There are resources close by for her special-needs children, they get along well with the children of her friend, and will start school this week. She is thrilled to be in such a beautiful area.

It's amazing how God can take what seemed like a soul-destroying event and turn it around to a blessing!

@CinnamonSugar this is good news indeed. Yes I remember about her losing her job. It does look like prayers have been answered. So happy for you all! 🌹

@CinnamonSugar Fan-freaking-tastic news!

Hey, y'all, guess what day tomorrow is? Besides hump day. DD is working her away-from-home job tomorrow instead of Thursday so that she can take DGD for an MRI. That means the washer and dryer will be available for me to do laundry. Guess what's in the laundry? Yup. Ladies Loungewear (with pockets!). And because our nights won't be cold again for another week or so at least, I can save the clean Ladies Loungewear (with pockets!) until the next cold night. Yay. It doesn't take a lot to please me.

It will wear out eventually! (😁)

Okay. So I'm smug. So? By the time the Ladies Loungewear (with pockets!) wears out, I will have assumed room temperature and won't care. So there. It's not my fault that your Aldi didn't have Ladies Loungewear. You're jealous. Admit it;)

Their preview ad starting tomorrow shows pointelle pajamas, same brand, just not Ladies Loungewear. Maybe go have a look-see anyway. Ya just never know.

@hollydolly Did your laundry dry before the sun went down?

I am so jealous. They sounded so comfy. Maybe my Aldis will come through one day on the loungewear and then we can discuss our carefree comfy lives.

I do believe that's called fickle. Fickle is when you only want something until you can have it. Then you don't want it any more ;)
Here is my question, what are you all carrying around in those pockets, A tissue, a couple of mini candy bars on the way to bed cause you don't want the family to know you have a stash in the house. Maybe it is a beer or small plane size of happy juice. maybe it is a few crackers that you are going to smash and put on hubbie's side just because did not get the trash out on time or he left the milk out on the counter. The possibilities are endless, please confess so we all know all the choices for pajama pockets.
We are dying to know, this could really enrich our daily shenanigans.

I went out today to Kroger to take advantage of some loss leader sales, Brand name Kelllogs cereals, $1.99 box, large size Chips Ahoy cookies for $3.00, 6lbs of butter for the freezer (holiday cooking], lots of Campbells Soups for cold weather and receipes. I got some lovely chicken breasts, that I have poached now. Making sour cream enchiladas tomorrow, Will save some of the meat and broth for freezer for chicken and dumplings when we have our first 50degree day.

I need to make another dessert but I have not decided, I think a pineapple sheet cake with cream cheese frosting, I have all the ingredients by say a lemon meringue sounds good as well.

That is sometimes a hard thing when we live alone, trying to decide what to cook. Used to be the husband and the son set the menu and I would just cook, I am kind of lost without there input.

It was good to get out since I have not been out for a week. See lots more streets around town are going through construction. I don;t like it but it has to be done to keep up with growth.

Great news, though I doubt if a 'god' had anything to do with it. We all deserve a bit of good fortune.
