I read somewhere that a mistake is something unintentional and a choice is on purpose. I guess l'd rather choose to make a decision on purpose and live with it.
Hmm, I disagree and will try to explain.
Choices, are not really choices, in a great many situations. In fact, choices are probably never done “on purpose”. It’s awful to realize that, but as the saying goes you don’t know what you don’t know. Therefore, you can never really make a purposeful choice, as you never really have the full information about that choice. Crazy? Yup.
Apply this to the current situation in the USA and when you stop laughing get up and change your underwear.
And most of the decisions, you make you don’t have to live with: although some you do, at least in the short run. (Like 2 to 4 years

).
You have years to decide what you want to be when you grow up. If you choose wrong, that’s an unintentional mistake even though it was done as a purposeful choice. No one marries intending to get a divorce, but there are hundreds of thousands of divorces. Mistakes, obviously.
Mistakes happen from the simple to the complicated, and while we think we have control, we don't. Some things we regret, as in ‘ I should have stayed or I should have gone.’
Hindsight is an old age disease, as we rethink our entire lives and realize we should have turned left instead of right.
Learn how to forgive yourself and move on.
