I love my dentist, I started with him right when he started his practice. I guess the word spread fast, now it takes a couple of weeks to get an appointment. Maybe you should suggest it to your dentist, might even help his practice.
I think they're well aware of it.. it's just everything in the NHS is having cutbacks in the uk..

My excellent dentist is retiring at the end of the year and her daughter is taking over the practice. The hygienist is staying on, so hopefully everything will be fine. It can be a real problem finding a dentist here, so I'm happy to have found a good one.

My annual eye test is coming up soon. It's with a small group of optometrists who cover a small number of locations in the county. Really nice people, but I hate having drops put in my eyes.

It's just after 8am.. light now and I can see evrything is covered in ice. Tried to get my wheelie bin open to put the rubbish in, and it was stuck solid.. .

Already vacc'd all the way though downstairs , and I've parcelled up 2 ebay items to get ready to take to the post office...

The teeth that were filled yesterday are really hurting today...

its 10.30am, and right now I;m eating a hot sausage roll. Why ?.. because I took my parcels to the Post offfice, and the bakery is next door..with all the hot food... and I can't resist.....so I bought a hot sausage roll to bring home, and a duo of chocolate Profiteroles :p

the sun is shining, but i had to de-ice my car before I could go to the PO.... it's very cold, but a beautiful day.. completely different to yesterday

Oh, Im having a little rest... My back is killing me.. I've just soent he last 4 minutes emptying out my Ottoman bed storage.. I've had to make 12 trip up and downsttairs carrying all the books, extra bedding.. big boxes of stuff, down into the, livingroom.. soo the people who are delivering my bed can take the ottman bed apart ... it looks like this...

except mine is Red leather...

I can't put anything into the other bedroom because they need that clear to install the new bed.. and I'm irritated that the person who bought the desk which I need to be out of that room hasn't answered any mails about collecting it before Friday...

So..I've had to put everything from under the bed.. downstairs, so heavy carrying... and hence my back pain.
I've done it now... but I've still got some more to do in the other bedroom..then of course once the bed has been delivered, I have to then find some kind of space for all the stuff, and the new bed isn't an ottoman storage bed, it only has 2 drawers, so it looks like just about everything aside from book are going to have to be donated.. cuz I just don't have the space anywhere else for the stuff.

I've taken the base of the storage out , so the men just have to undo the frame and the headboard

It rained pitchforks and hammer handles here all day yesterday and into the night. It's gone now and way too warm for mid-November. 64 right now but a high temp of only 70 today. Tonight? Eeeek! Into the mid-30s and laundry day isn't until tomorrow so my Ladies Loungewear (with pockets) won't be available until tomorrow night.

I want a medal🥇because I really did scrub the kitchen and bathroom floors yesterday. On my hands and knees. And included the baseboards. That means I'm gonna sit around on my dead center today, after DD takes me to the credit union so I can "buy" some cash.

@hollydolly I wish you'd get yourself a back brace to wear when you're doing the lifting/stretching/carrying chores. It could help a whole lot and certainly wouldn't hurt.

I have the same problem with the wheelie bin lids, but I found that if you just thump the middle of the lid with your fist, it will loosen the ice and allow you to open it.

Seems to be a body maintenance week for me.

Got my hair cut Monday - first time since APRIL. She'd cut it way too short back then, and put in so much low light color that I washed it about ten times with Dawn dish soap the next day to strip some out.

This time, I've got barely-there low lights and a longer cut. It's almost to my shoulders when wet but shrinks about 1-1/2" as the curls dry. I'm much happier, and it will work better for her in the long run because I won't be going 7 months between visits.

Also checked a mammogram off my list on Monday. Next up is a colonoscopy because of strong family health history - had my sibling not had rectal cancer plus a parent and another sibling had pre-cancerous polyps, I'd be past the age for this screening.

I can deal with drinking the goop, pooping my brains out, and the test itself. What puts me over the top: nothing except clear liquids and Jello for 36 hours before the test. And none of those liquids or Jello can be blue, purple or red.

On my early walk at 6:30 temp was 52 with a bit of fog as I went around building complex before breakfast
At 9am,for the 1st time I walked my neighbor,Cathie's dog, Rudy who is a 12yrold rescue dog. He's part hound/, Bermese mountain ,very affectionate, sweet. Cathie's regular Wed morning dog walker is on vacation this week, she asked me ahead of time if I would take him, 'of course'.He was a good boy

Still having a busy week. Yesterday I visited the Vampire for my annual blood draw/check up. I also had my first Bone Density Test. It was fine, sort of. The tech twisted my leg to put it in position, and hurt my bad knee. She didn't do anything wrong, it's just the my knee doesn't move like other peoples do. Had I known what was up, I would have told her that my knee is damaged. She was really nice....sweet and professional....she just didn't know, and I didn't know to tell her. Anyway, she didn't hurt it bad, just enough to be annoyed for most of the day. It was fine by the time

wanted his walk.

Today I am on a clear liquid diet, and this evening I "get to" chug down the Golytely.

Fun times!

I don't expect to be here tomorrow.....it's colonoscopy day! 🙄

@StarSong we're colonoscopy sisters!
I'm having my tea right now, watching Dio eat! 🙃

For me, the worst part is drinking the Golytely! Yuck!!! 😝
