I never shop for groceries of my own volition the day before Thanksgiving. That's like going to a department store on Black Friday.
When I was a teenager, my mom sent me to the supermarket the day before Thanksgiving and I stood in the checkout line for over an hour to get a can of cranberry sauce.
I bet on Black Friday, the grocery stores are virtually deserted. I assume people are eating leftovers and shopping in other stores.
