Could be the gall bladder being fussy, have you been eating rich holiday food? Try putting the heating pad on that area should help.
 
Good morning

One of those days today.
DHL are delivering my bulk order of my favourite cereal( because Home Bargains stopped selling it and nowhere else around here does)
All I know is that at 0904 it is at the delivery depot.
And will be delivered today…hopefully I may get a time frame in due course!
Got a nice lunch plannned…got some cooked Turkey,stuffing ,pigs in blankets etc…
With my monthly Cheesecake treat for dessert afterwards.
Yum!

Morning folks, its 9.40am..... grey , dull.. but thankfully no rain. temps are 7 deg... but it doesn't feel cold inside the house.. fortunately I have a very warm parka coat for when I go out


I'm just having a cuppa tea before I get ready to go to the dreaded dentist....it's not until 11.30

I have to go friday, I may have to have the one I broke, pulled as well. I hope it can just get a crown. I am refusing to be upset about it. It has to be fixed either way.

Hope it is not too bad for you, make sure they give you some medication for pain. Seems it is more painful to have dental procedures as we age, maybe I am just a whimp LOL

OED, I'm exhausted just from reading this.
 
I will be waiting and being mindful of an attitude adjustment today. The cold weather has brought an increase in my ailments. My digestion is messed up, and feels like YUK. My neuropathy ( nerve damage in my spine ) has become more painful all day long. All I can do, is take the medicine they gave me and it is not working very well. So, I have to step up my attitude of accepting that which I can not change. It can be depressing not being able to have a positive attitude about living. But, most everyone has to adjust to the crappy aspects of life. It becomes a challenge to be engaged with life when all you feel like doing is going to bed and sleeping through the crap.

I have plan. Understanding that life is temporary, I will use my time to be involved in the present moment, and act truthfully to my present condition. It doesn't matter the content because whatever I contribute is history that will be completely irrelevant in the distant future. In 3,000 years what will be of any consequence? That leaves the door wide open to act with a true freedom of expression, no matter what others might think about it. We all are adding our actions to the present moment, and none of us know what will become of us. It reminds me of the "Doors" song "Rider's on the Storm".

That is true. It took nine months to get all the sensitivity out of last year's crown. I couldn't chew on that side. It's fine now. The next crown will not take that long, I can tell, but the other one was way in the back.
I would suggest to anyone that when you get a crown start taking ibuprofen for a few days to a week after. I think that made some difference in this last one.
 
Wishing a pain-free day for all! Teeth. Gut. Oy!

It's not as cold here as was predicted, a balmy 29F and sunny, but weathernerds say a high of only 40 today. I didn't pull up dead plants yesterday because my lazy kicked in. Maybe today. Or not.

There are two 4'x6' braided rugs in the kitchen that are separating between braids here and there and need to be sewn. OK. I have the right kind of needle, but where did I put the fishing line? Anybody want to volunteer for rug duty?

Then there are Christmas cookies to bake. Spritz first. The recipe makes about 12 dozen, and that's a lot of cookie press work. Anybody want to volunteer for cookie duty? You can keep a couple of dozen for yourself when they're done.

But first, I need to shower and dress and tidy up and all the rest of the morning stuff. Makes me tired to think about all of it.

Morning all folks!!! :) It is 19deg F out there this morning, may
get to 40 later today...brrrr...slept okay and got some aches n pains but so what....no dishes this morning LOL...not sure of
plans for the day,think I'll be calling my insurance about this
year charges/benefits, also got to make my order with Topsy's
Popcorn for this year gifts, just buy a few tins each year for
the kind folks who watch over me...forgot to tell you about a
Snowy Owl I saw fly over yesterday, it was being chased by
crows, first time to see one here tho, cool.....may check with a friendabout trip to get my flu/covid shots....and I need a bank
run for some cash to keep around.,..,welp, you all take care and don't fall please......;):cool::love::coffee:

Yes, we shortened the list as well. Postage to Europe is ridiculous! Last year about half of them did not make it. Delivery to the big black Christmas card hole? But - we love getting them and the annual reports. So I splurged and bought individual cards. No happy hour today until SO has signed all!
 
It is cold out there. Both bird baths are frozen solid. SO turned the heat up. Tomorrow the fire place part should be here.
Insanity overcame me yesterday and I cleaned the stove with tooth brushes. Then I cooked onions, peppers and sausage for pizza toppings.
I need to mess around in the pantry and take inventory for a trip to the restaurant supply store.
 
Cold out (25°) but mama wants to go Asian food shopping this morning (60 miles roundtrip) and ask if I'd mind chauffeuring her and she bribed me with a big hot bowl of Pho once we were done shopping if I would.....heck for a big bowl of hot Pho I'll take her anywhere she wants to go no matter how far it is. :)

It's been one month, to the day, since I mailed out a Christmas card to Scotland....she still has not received it! 😲

I got her card within 2 weeks. Go figure!

When my daughter was in the first grade, I played Santa at her school. I thought I had a really good Santa's costume,
but she still embarrassed me screaming, "it's my daddy."

And when we decorated the Christmas Tree after Thanksgiving, our children slept the first few nights under the tree.

that's because our Post deliverers, seem to be on some kind of unofficial go slow.. loads of people are saying that they're only getting post once a week instead of every day....
