Against the vaccine? What about polio?

I'm pretty sure I would have died when I caught Covid because of my COPD if I hadn't had the first vaccine and then a booster. DH is diabetic, so he might have died too. We caught it at the same time and it wasn't bad at all, but we both tested positive for covid. I'm thankful for the vaccine!
Yes, same here, l'm diabetic, too. But why should l have to tell the world so l won't be criticized for wearing a mask? I went with my dad with cabs to get radiation treatment for his cancer Monday through Friday going and coming back home twice a day for six weeks. I made sure that my dad wore a mask too. I made sure the cab was aired out. I did what was right for me. I have no regrets. I did the best l could or knew how.

I posted that my youngest son was diagnosed as covid 19 being the cause of sepsis developing in his spine. I was questioned why I believed that to be true. Really insensitive but that is just how some people are.

No option but to believe the hospital doctor since my son lived 2000 miles away from me. On hospital admission my son was put on a ventilator due to extreme difficulty in breathing. At that point his son had to make a choice. To have spinal surgery which might end up leaving him paralyzed or pull the plug on the life saving equipment he was surviving on. His son chose surgery. Wed. Nov 29th. an 8 hour surgery was done, he survived the surgery.

No reflexes by Dec. 1st. He was diagnosed to be quadriplegic. On Dec. 1 with his son present my son was asked what his wishes were. At 9:30 pm my son chose to have the ventilator removed. At 9:36 pm he was pronounced dead.

Do I believe covid 19 was the cause? Not important since ultimately the outcome was his death. Not an experience I would wish on anyone to have a child die before the parent does. My wife & I are coping as well as could be expected.

My condolences to you @Knight.

So very sorry for your family Knight. Condolences to you all.

Regarding the anti-covid mRNA inoculations, they are not traditional vaccines. Traditional vaccines introduce a dead virus (or other pathogen) into the body, that causes the host's immune system to rush antibodies into production which will greatly protect the person from contracting the disease.

mRNA "vaccines" are lab created molecules injected into the body that unnaturally alter the building blocks of human biology. No one knows the long term effects of these molecules. But in the short term many experience serious adverse side effects including, among others, potentially lethal myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle).

The vast majority of those who received the mRNA vaccinations were in no danger of serious disease or death, so the benefit to them did not outweigh the risks. There is a percentage of the population who were at high risk of death from covid: the elderly, especially those who were obese or frail, and those who were immuno-compromised.

I won't go into detail in this post, but the national panic and resultant solutions from Big Pharma, Big Medicine, Big Government, and Big Media was a criminal disgrace that must be prevented from ever happening again.

I have to agree. Most people who are against vaccines get their information from politicians, podcasters, social media and religious beliefs. Seldomly by trained professionals. They discount all the successes in the past century. I just get all my shots every year and move on.

Did anyone get the TB Vaccine?. At school the doctors first gave us a skin test on the forearm and came back a week later, the children that showed a reaction on the forearm of a large red lump didn't need the vaccine because they had already been in contact with someone with TB and built up an immunity. Mine showed up a large red lump but my sister showed nothing but had to have the inoculation on her shoulder.
yep I remember it very well. First everyone had to line up outside the medical office and were given the ''skin test''.. then as you say if a lump appeared which it did with most people then the TB vaccination was given. I didn't react to the skin test because my Mother and grandmother both had, had TB...so no vaccination for me...

I suppose, yes, but I do believe that they get their information from trained professionals though politicians, podcasters, social media, and (perhaps) religious beliefs. After all, you don't actually sit down for a cup of coffee with a trained professional and ask them their opinion .... do you?
Seldomly by trained professionals.
Well, enough trained professionals (on the corporate payroll) testified that smoking does not contribute highly to lung cancer & is addictive, and that sugar is not fattening & is addictive.
I just get all my shots every year and move on.
Most of us do. I don't always but most do.

I've never had the polio vaccine. I was an adult when it came out.
I find this amazing. I had the injection once and the oral doses twice. The injection was done in elementary school and the oral dose was given to me in high school and then the Marines because I could not produce any kind of proof that I was ever given any protection.

I think you wrote this reply just because you wanted to say you were in the Marines. :):giggle::ROFLMAO:

Hardest thing in the world, Knight, for anyone to have to make heart breaking decisions like that. I pray that your family gets the peace of heart and comfort that you all deserve.
