After pouring rain all day today, with 100% cloud cover and as the sun sets
This is the color of the sky here on the corner of Walk 'n Don't Walk

My daughter in law sent me this today. Now I understand the giggling at the time. I had no idea she'd taken it.

At their place, I was sitting in a corner. Lights were down watching some holiday flick and I obviously fell asleep. Deep enough she was able to take my glasses off me and then put them back on.

The beard? Yeah, it's real. Lost an election bet and now I need to keep it through Christmas. Grandson stared a lot at first. Even though his Dad and uncles have beards he'd never seen me with one. Actually nobody has since I was in a dorm-floor beard growing "contest" back in school (mid-1970s).

Me driving down the mountain road from my Daughters' mountain home at the top... in Southern Spain...
This reminds me of our few stays in Southern Spain years ago. We were in Fuengirola. We loved to explore the nearby cities like Malaga,Torremolinos, Mijas, and Marbella. I enjoyed our stays in Spain. I had the pleasure of visiting Madrid, Barcelona and Alicante as well. I have very good souvenirs of Spain and its people as well as its history, architecture, food and charm.

@hollydolly I did not care for Benidorm either. I had a free airline ticket to Alicante, so I went and visit both cities. Not a place I would pay to stay or visit again. This was also years ago off season but it was already very crowded.

Alicante city is really nice... sadly Benidorm comes under the Alicante region.... which is 50km's away... and is often thought of as being the same place because the airport t is there..

20241028_083957.jpg 20241028_084214.jpg We had to prepare the ground to fix our entry pad. This is what we found in the flower bed near the house front door. It produced a very strange "tree" that resembles a succulent that produces berries. anyway we has to use a chain saw to cut it.

obstacle.jpg DIY projects almost always bring surprises. :)
