"Mystery" Drones Flying Over Parts of New Jersey, New York & Pennsylvania

It’s interesting to me that authorities say there is no threat but don’t seem to know what they are or what they are doing.

They didn’t seem to have any qualms about shooting down Chinese weather/spy balloons, why give these mysterious drones a pass. 🤔

It seems to me that there must be more to this that is not being shared.
Qualms? The Air Balloon flew across the entire country.

There was a guy near here, flying one while a teenage daughter was sunbathing in her own backyard. Dad shot it down, the police were called, technically the dad was arrested on the gun charge. The prosecutor dropped the charge, and refused to file charges on the property damages. [Seems he too had a teenage daughter]. I really never heard anymore about it.

I understand the father's point of view for sure!

I have been told that it's very likely that a foreign adversary is behind these drones being flown across the U.S. More than likely, someone does know something.
I have been told that they are also stealing my socks from the laundromat. It was discussed at the last Q & A session at Valdai but Putin denies it so it must be the Chinese.

If you’re trying to be a comedian, you aren’t very good at it.
Pointing out how easily the sheep can be sheepled may be funny. I don't know. What do you think? What I think is hilarious is when I hear the sheeple say, "More than likely, someone does know something." Now you have to admit ................ that really IS funny! :ROFLMAO:

I think local drone owners are beginning to pile on.

When this started it was a few automobile sized drones, now the numbers have increased and the size seems to vary a great deal.

I still don’t understand why our military or local law enforcement agencies are unable or unwilling to track these drones and find out where they originate.

It concerns me that if this were a true emergency the damage would have been done before any defensive action was taken.

It seems like we are very quick to forget and slow to learn.

It seems some drones can be difficult to detect with radar. They used to call it "flying under the radar". However, radar has improved with technology, but some challenges are still there. Drones made of plastic are harder to detect, as well as ones flying slower, and where obstacles may be in the way. So, it's a maybe with detection.

We're spending some $840 billion this year on defense. One would think that would be enough to come up with some kind of defense to go after a couple of drones that are estimated to be about six feet in diameter.

Is it me, or what?
Congress is all aflutter about drones over the Northeast.
Drones are not illegal. You can buy them almost everywhere. And big ones are relatively cheap. But, OMG!! they have cameras. Yet, if you're a commie spy, you don't need to buy a drone, just log on to satellite feeds with great resolution of the planet.
Yeah, people are buying drones and flying them, so exactly why is everybody freaking out?
Duh, it's kind of like freaking out that there are cars on the highway.

Admittedly, I'm a resident & citizen of another country. But I truly doubt "everybody" in the U.S. (or even the East Coast) is freaking out. Not meaning to say this isn't a concern the public would appreciate factual info about.

While it's true you can buy drones almost anywhere, it's not legal to fly them anywhere you want. Most parks don't allow them any more. They used to be legal and you could go to almost any park in the city and see people flying them around. But I guess they became a nuisance, so they were outlawed in all but a few parks.
