That is truly hideous and she looks villianous with that smile!"I'm a fan of preposterous headwear myself."
Who could ever forget Princess Beatrice's wedding hat?
One of the down market UK newspapers likened it to a uterus!
And another said it was a toilet seat with ribbons around it.

Kind of you to say so, thank you. Have you ever read about the fedora hat in The Gentleman's Gazette? Lots of facts, interesting items and quotes.I've certainly admired your taste in fedoras. Men never looked so good as when fedoras were commonplace.
Where's the hat?Yes, it's all about the hat around these parts ..

Nice summary from "The Gentleman's Gazette"! I may have to break down and buy one. I do have a Trilby style hat, but it's woven-- for summer wear.Kind of you to say so, thank you. Have you ever read about the fedora hat in The Gentleman's Gazette? Lots of facts, interesting items and quotes.
I'd love to see ladies hats come back in fashion. They were so feminine!I like hats and still wear them even though I'm a female and this was about males. If you like hats, you like them.
Well - - - - - - high heels might help.Well the women dressed nice too. I'm a slob in comparison. But you would never catch me dead doing something like this...

Only you Pink!
I always thought that men's fedoras were the classiest looking hat, as our Horseless Carriage demonstrates.
I've always thought that everyone wearing those silly ball caps looked silly.
And on women? Oh, please.
Thank you for your kind compliments. That hat and blazer, that I am wearing in my previous post, went down very well at Poole Goes Vintage.Horseless Carriage wears it well but in my case even as a bald man never wore a hat and include daytime fishing , gardening but again for Horseless Carriage it's about style .
When a woman's hat is part of her outfit and her hair is styled according to it and it does not obstruct someone else's view it is permissiable indoors. For some hats are actually required. We wear baseball caps, bucket/fisherman hats and even cowboy hats for utilitarian purposes, i.e. outdoor activities in the sun.
My only problem with men/women in hats, whether for practical purposes or fashion, is when they wear them indoors.
I also remember when men took their hats off inside. There was a time when a man, to be considered fully dressed, wouldn't venture outside without wearing a hat. Now I'm not talking ball caps, or worse yet, ball caps worn backwards; I'm talking real hats of recognizable style. Watch old black-and-white movies, and you'll see men wearing them. Watch old newsreels, and you'll find a sea of hats wherever a crowd of men are depicted. My father wore a hat going to or returning from work every day, even in summer heat. It was expected, and was part of the male uniform of the day. Even boys wore caps. Can you imagine Indiana Jones without his rakish fedora? I don't think so...
Do you remember when men routinely wore hats, those relics of a dressier age? What memories do you have of them?

Aside from medical/health and religious reasons, IMHO there is no other reason why a woman needs to keep her hat on indoors. It is 2025 and the double standard should end. Don't style your hair around a hat if you cannot remove the hat once you are indoors, especially in a crowded space. When a woman's hat is part of her outfit and her hair is styled according to it and it does not obstruct someone else's view it is permissiable indoors. For some hats are actually required.
