Are Microwaves used without Glass Safe ?

The news about us having plastics in our bodies finally caught up to us about 2 years ago. We stopped using any plastic containers to microwave our food or any beverage. How many years we used them with plastic is a shocking revelation? No telling how much we polluted our bodies over the years with this habit. It was easier to quit this than smoking though. :)

🤷‍♀️

I routinely use the manufacturer’s packaging to heat steam in bag vegetables, frozen entrees, etc…

I don’t use my own plastic packaging to reheat foods or leftover foods from the freezer.

At 70 and after a long life spent smoking, drinking, etc… I probably don’t take these things as seriously as I should.

I do think that it’s a good idea to keep young children away from as much of this type of thing as possible, especially in the years prior to going into public school.

Apparently those black plastic oven bowls give off toxic substances when heated, also the black coating on non-stick tins and pans. Going back to using glass, stainless steel and copper seems to be the only safe option.

what do you mean black plastic oven bowls ?.. the only black plastic bowls I have are from Costco... and I never put those into the microwave, they're only used for keeping things cold in the fridge :)

I mean the ready meals which come in black bowls. Perhaps you've never seen them?
