Amen, Brother! It was easier to quit this than smoking though.![]()
I use mostly glass containers (without the plastic top) in the microwave and this is mainly for defrosting and reheating. Only store-bought dinners are heated. I can cook various items in the microwave but I prefer my own stove/oven. I have used 'plastic' that is labelled "microwave safe" on the packaging. Never use take out containers.
Not to start an argument but don't those containers over time break down and the lids split? I would also consider that the plastic ones I have are defrosted and reheating in the microwave and they are all put in the dishwasher. All of my plastic containers are BPA free
I have never had any lids split...Not to start an argument but don't those containers over time break down and the lids split? I would also consider that the plastic ones I have are defrosted and reheating in the microwave and they are all put in the dishwasher.
Your thoughts?
what do you mean black plastic oven bowls ?.. the only black plastic bowls I have are from Costco... and I never put those into the microwave, they're only used for keeping things cold in the fridgeApparently those black plastic oven bowls give off toxic substances when heated, also the black coating on non-stick tins and pans. Going back to using glass, stainless steel and copper seems to be the only safe option.
I mean the ready meals which come in black bowls. Perhaps you've never seen them?what do you mean black plastic oven bowls ?.. the only black plastic bowls I have are from Costco... and I never put those into the microwave, they're only used for keeping things cold in the fridge![]()
