Gentle posts for gentle folks

I darned some holes, late this afternoon and this evening,
in a wonderful old pair of hand knit mittens, that have been keeping my hands cozy, these weeks since I came home from rehab.

It will make them even cozier and was a simple relaxing activity, that I needed, today.

I value and appreciate, every one of the messages posted here, in this thread.
I thank every one of you, from the bottom of my heart.
🥰🥰🥰

Coming here and reading these posts, this morning,
and also looking at the caring reactions, to the posts, by so many of you;
it all helps to make dents in the winter depression.

Thank YOU, very much!

This morning, I'm going to pot one of my amaryllis bulbs, in soil.
I am pushing myself to do these sorts of small, short activities.

I had just set it in a flower pot, 2 or 3 months ago, with only some paper in the pot, to keep it upright;
and it grew its previous 2 bud stalks, that way!

It was new this Autumn, and without any soil or water,
it is on its 3rd bud stalk at this moment.

I had a rough time for a while, today, but I'm trying to hang in here.😕

A while after potting the bulb, I donned layers of clothing and went outdoors, again today, for about 15 minutes.

It was cold like yesterday, but clear and sunny and brisk. The sky was blue, and the fresh air feels good.

I put in a grocery order for tomorrow.
It will feel good to get stocked up again.

There's a little snow forecast for the following day mid week. ❄️❄️❄️❄️

Good morning @Kaila Sewing is therapeutic, I plan to do some this afternoon. It's grey and windy outside so, perfect day to stay home. I hope you have another relaxing day today, rest is always good. :)
You're right and I hadn't remembered... that sewing is therapeutic. (y)
And that it's fine to stay home and to rest sometimes. Thank you, Trish.

I love all of the reminders on everyone's posts here on this thread.
As well as all of the understanding.
And also, the positive words and encouraging images.

I take the time to look at each one of the posts, repeatedly again, for days.

Hope the sun is shining in the NE this morning.

Good for you darning your mitts.

Despite the cold temps outdoors,
The sun has been shining every day, for the past string of days, which has been very helpful for me as I've been struggling to try to keep myspirits up.
Even looking out the window at the blue sky helps.
Plus your reminder to go outside for a few minutes, changed my week, too.(y)🥰

I do feel good that i managed to fix up those comfy old mittens of mine. They're warmer that all of my others.

I hope the "rough times" you mentioned are behind you now, Kaila, and that you'll have a perfectly awesome day! 🤗

I saw a male cardinal out the window, this morning. They're so bright red, they show up and are the easiest to see and to identify. I never get tired of spotting one!

I'm very hungry, now. It's time to get some breakfast and coffee.
Or coffee and breakfast. 😉☺️😄
Let's get going, everyone!
😁

You are strong, Kaila .. and, I admire your gumption!
Some days, we just need to push ourselves that little bit - which you are doing.
Cardinals are so beautiful, and I really miss seeing them .. also, the Blue Jays, when we were in our house.
Even the pigeons we used to get on our condo balcony, have disappeared :(

Hey Kaila... Are you as tired of the post Christmas pre Lenten winter blahs as I am?

Here's a fruity treat to remind us of summer until we start complaining about the heat!

I love the colors and variety, and especially the honey amidst the inviting spread!(y)
(and yes, it's the season of blah, at the moment, eh? o_O   )

:sneaky:😊😄

I can imagine how much you miss seeing the cardinals and the blue jays, that were at your house, Pinky,
but gosh, where have the condo balcony pigeons gone?:unsure:o_O
We all want to know.
Were they 'mourning doves' or actual common pigeons?

Thank you for emphasizing my gumption, and for saying I am strong, Pinky. I do try to be both of those, when I can manage it, and it helps to hear it. I found it difficult, today,
but I did help with the grocery order, and a little cooking, today, and called the pharmacist to discuss script confusions and delays and costs.:rolleyes:o_O

I noticed that the sunset had very bright colors, for a brief 10 minutes,
and that it is occurring later, these days! Which is promising.:)
