How many eggs do you use?

There's just me , and I like eggs but I don't like the idea of too much cholestrol, so usually a dozen ( or sometimes they come in 10's)..lasts me 2 or 3 weeks...

Last week for example I seemed to have an egg almost every day, which isn't usual..so this week, I had none...

On another forum some years ago, a fella was talking about how he makes breakfast every morning for him and his wife, using 5 or 6 eggs.. . I expressed concern for him saying to be careful that he wasn't getting too much cholestrol which would affect his heart...

he was furious and told me so, said there was very little chance , his doctor has said he was very healthy blah, blah..he'd been a pro sportmsman in his younger day and so on ... so I never mentioned it again.. less than 6 months later BOOM... massive heart attack...

I usually boil up 6 eggs and keep them in the fridge to make up a Caesar Salad or curried eggs with mayonnaise on a sandwich.
How long do eggs keep fresh in the fridge one they've been boiled ?

I can buy hard boiled eggs straight off the shelf in Spain, and I do ... and they don't seem to have any preservatives in them... but then I use them within 3 days...

we can't buy boiled eggs here ...

I use a half dozen every 1-2 months.

I have stopped buying them for now.

It’s funny how we put certain price limits on things, eggs are too expensive but a mediocre delivery pizza is still a great value, etc…

I probably won’t bother buying any eggs until I make my first macaroni or potato salad of the season.

A dozen eggs lasts me a long time since I barely cook. I will use 3 at a time for French Toast, Matzoh Brie, scrambled, hard boiled. Lasts me 2-3 months I think. Love eggs, but as I said, I barely cook. So I guess the huge price increase does not affect me much as I use sparingly.

I was never a big egg eater so a dozen a month or more I'm guessing. I will make French toast for any meal, a rare scramble or occasional egg salad. I don't use them in potato
salad.

I've not paid more than 3.95 for a dozen and when they run out, I'll never pay more.
