What's for dinner ( or lunch )

'' Next time I make pizza, I'll do several with no cheese. To my great surprise, I actually prefer it this way.''

Please do not even joke like this .
I made dough yesterday with TGS. He and my two older GKS will come over to make pizza with me today. Some will have cheese for those who indulge, a couple will be with vegan cheese for my seriously lactose intolerant GD, and some without any cheese for me.

p.s. I don't like vegan cheeses, and suspect they're as unhealthy to eat as real cheese, but my GD and my vegan son and DIL like it, so I make pizzas with it for them. (The lactose intolerant GD is my daughter's child, not my son's.)

I bet TGS had a great time making dough! Did he knead it? I remember mine at
that age mixing the meatloaf.

My Kitchen-Aid does the kneading.

Once I took it out of the mixer bowl, he didn't want to handle it because it was sticky and he doesn't like touching things that are sticky. (His dad was the same way.)

Yesterday he helped make a couple of pizzas because I'd sprinkled flour over the dough and onto his little hands so the stickiness was gone. He patted the dough, love using a rolling pin, declined stretching it further on his fists so I did that, then helped dress it with sauce and cheese.

He was very excited to see it come out of the oven 8 minutes later!

Awww I love this.

Ok, I've been here a little over a month now and I've wondered about it long enough... Will someone please teach me about your acronyms? What hell does TGS, GKS, SO, DH, DD, etc. mean?

Sprechen Sie Englisch, bitte! :cool:
TGS = Toddler Grandson
GKS = Grandkids
SO = Significant Other
DH = Darling Husband
DD = Dear Daughter
DS = Dear Son
DDIL = Dear Daughter-in-law
DSIL = Dear Son-in-law

Thank You, I can get used to that easy enough. Most of the time instead of typing of Cindy, either because I didn't want to do it in where ever I happened to be at the time, or out of laziness, I would just call her C. And I course, I have been known to refer to my Ex as JTP (Jain the Pain). :rolleyes:

I took a 12-lb pork shoulder out of the fridge and injected it with a solution containing a bit of salt, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chicken broth. Smeared with with Dijon mustard (not too thick) and a dry rub containing the usual suspects -- salt, cracked pepper, garlic and onion powder, paprika, and smoked paprika. Parked it back in the fridge, uncovered, for 12 hours until I smoke that puppy on my Traeger pellet smoker.

Damage control to be reported tomorrow.
