What's the oldest thing in your wardrobe that you still wear sometimes

I have a pair of pj bottoms that are red and black plaid with the faces of black Lab dogs all over them. I don't wear them but keep them as a remembrance of my black Lab who passed in 2004 at12 years old. Dusty was the best dog in the whole world.
 

I have a black 100% wool knee length coat that was given to me by a dear friend whose mother had worn it for many years. So it was gently used when I took possession and that was probably 20 years ago. I wear it every winter when the occasion calls for a more dressy look. I have no idea how old it actually is.

I have a pair of cowboy boots that I bought when we first moved to Nashville back in 1994. I still wear them. They’ve been re-soled and heeled once.
 
I have shirts I wear, have outfits, mostly dresses or skirts I don't wear, over 50! years old, perhaps more. What I am wearing today is a black sweaters with horizontal strips in different bold colors, is over 50. I remember buying it in a store called 'Strawberry', which is still in its original location near Grand Central Station. Funnily enough, we passed by yesterday in the AccessARide car. Most of the old stuff comes from there, not all.

I used to shop and buy freely and bought quality clothes that are still in new shape.

My DIL loves it when I tell her what I'm wearing is older than she is!
 
My oldest clothes are a few tunic tops from the 80’s that I wear in the colder months. .. still very nice.
They are as good or better than some of the newer stuff.

Also wool leggings from about 25 yrs. ago, and they still fit fine.
 
I have a cowboy hat that is about 25 years old that I sometimes wear to keep the sun off my head when working outside. It was expensive but would look better wearing it where others wear them. Around here, it is not seen very often.

A good one needs an occasional brushing and maybe getting the brim steamed. Plastic pot scrubbers work well to brush them.

I like Lands End. I have bought different items from them over the years. I'm sure the quality of your shirts from the 80's is much much better than the quality of the clothing now.

I like Land's End very much. I still buy from them occasionally. Back in the '80's I went through a period of ordering a lot from catalogues. The quality of the clothing was very good, traditional, durable stuff that was timeless.
 
Still have some old tee-shirts I purchased at Concerts (didn't matter the cost back then)
and will drag them out when the mood strikes.
Most have the dates of the tours and is a gentle reminder to the newer generations how long
some groups have been around.
Also reminds me of the journey I've taken.

Like it says, 'Feels like Far'.
 
A gore-tex jacket, around 30-40 years old. Lightweight, waterproof, lovely shade of blue, with a hood, just right for spring and fall. I haven't been able to bring myself to give it away all these years because I like it so much. And it still looks brand new!

That jacket was bought when we lived in Maryland (the first time), then it moved out to Washington state with us, got me through many days in the gentle, mild, frequently damp climate, then it returned to Maryland with us 18 years later, I've been wearing it here for 17 more years, and last year I finally promised myself to get rid of it. It's still in my closet, but I will donate it, and it's been replaced by another lightweight waterproof jacket. Guess what color it is? Blue!
 
An Eddie Bauer apple green color trench coat that looks stylish with the right outfit but not a good color on me. I don't care though, I love the color and still wear it occasionally in the spring in spite of it being 11 years old. I always feel in a good mood when I wear it :)
 
My deceased mother bought me a robe the last Christmas she was with us here on earth. She passed away in 2004. I still wear the robe and treat it better than my $xxx Dior tuxedo. I wear the robe every evening, but it only shows a little wear. Honestly, I probably have missed wearing it at least a total of one year plus, due to traveling and being ill. I have another robe I take along on trips and for when I get sick.

I have a couple of coats which I love and are nicer than most I have seen in the shops. They are pretty old now but, I take care of things so, they look as good as new. I also have some boots which I no longer wear so, they will be leaving my wardrobe soon.

I really have too many things but, on the other hand, they seldom need replacing as, because they are not regularly worn, they don't get worn out quickly. That's my excuse anyway ;)
