A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Today is 10 degrees Celsius and sunny with cloudy periods. Theres quite a bit of fog today. The ground is much colder than the air.
Anyway, today we walked along the beach.
It was a lovely walk. Since it was so nice out we didn’t put any coats or sweaters on them and our oldest dog went in the ocean. She only went in as far as her tummy and came back out. It must have been very cold.
We saw two American eskimos getting walked along the beach also.IMG_7986.jpegIMG_7994.jpeg

Today we walked along the beach again. The dogs like the walk as do we. I’m happy to be wearing something other than a winter coat. I’m wearing spring and fall jackets which I like and the dogs are happy because they don’t have to wear coats. This is a short walk, about 2 kilometres.

I had missed going for walks for the past couple of days due to rain but today we went on the natural trails at the park and it was really fun. It was a bit cool due to the wind blowing off the ocean but not too bad.

Hope you had a nice day. Mine was fabulous. I got some really good news today.

Today is a beautiful sunny day. Yayyy and I am happy, happy, happy. We went on a forest walk and met up with 3 big dogs whose owners couldn’t control them. Why do people get big dogs if they can’t control them?
Anyway our dogs apparently scared the last sheep dog and golden doodle. Lol. I find that amusing.

You live in such a gorgeous area!
Glad your doggie friends were there to protect you. 🤗 🐕‍🦺

There is an owner here who has a very large dog (not sure of the breed) she seems to have trouble controlling. She is a very nice woman, but she makes me nervous on the rare occasions we pass on walks.

Thanks Medusa. The people that own the dogs seem nice enough. The first dog literally dragged the owner across the street to see our dogs and he was a full grown man. The second woman has 2 big dogs one that freaked out cause our 12 pound dog barked at it. It sat down and wouldn’t move. Then it got out from its collar and leash and ran off with its tail between its legs. This was an old English sheepdog.
We had walked off the path so she could walk by without the dogs needing to confront each other but she seemed upset with us for some reason. I’m not sure what we could have done differently. Our dogs were both leashed.

Well, thank the skies no people or dogs were hurt. There's no understanding what people are thinking sometimes. Do you have leash laws there as we do here? Not that everyone abides by them.
Oh yes. We have leash laws here. There ARE signs reminding walkers to keep their pets leashed and clean up after your pets but not everyone abides to the rules. Poop bags are even supplied so there’s no excuse.

We have the same situation here and I admit it infuriates me when people don't clean up after their dogs. They just expect the rest of us to live with it. I don't like to be negative but that really does get to me.

Today was a bit cooler than yesterday with a light dusting of fresh snow on the ground from last night. We didn’t meet anyone on the path today but it’s Monday so very expected. IMG_8063.jpeg
The river has slowed down some. It’s not overflowing like it was a week or so ago.

The ocean looks beautiful today. On a sunny day the ocean always looks so much bluer.

Have a lovely day !

I love walking. With all my back problems that compromise my ability to do any serious walking these days, I do get out with my rollator and take my dog for as long a walk as I am able. Nothing like it.
You’re doing pretty good if you can still walk your dog at 92. Thats fantastic actually. Were you athletic when you were younger?

That looks like a lovely path Jim. Those azaleas are so beautiful. What a deep fuscia colour they are. Are there lots of Azalea bushes there? Is it near where you live or do you have to drive there?
Fortunately theses are very close to where I live. I try and walk the trails every day (weather permitting), plus I'm a bird watcher. Brings some balance to my life.

Today is a beautiful day. It’s 5 degrees and going up to 6. The ocean is as still as glass and looks very pretty. I took a few pictures of it before starting my walk.

The path is getting easier to walk on. There are very few places where’ there’s ice. It was a great walk.

Some creative school kids painted these beautiful rocks. I think they were made for walkers to take but I wasn’t sure so I left them. I liked the blue one with darker blue hearts.

Today was sunny and 5 degrees Celsius. A lot of the previous snow had melted making the trail easier to walk on. View attachment 412923View attachment 412924View attachment 412925We met one woman with 2 medium sized dogs. She could handle them though which was nice.

The walk is approximately 3 1/2 kilometres.
Have a nice walk.
Although the fresh fallen snow looks pretty and clean. There isn't anything more depressing for me than a significant snow fall late in March. Especially when we're only days away from April. We are getting lots of rain for the next 3 days. I don't like that either.:(

Yeah! Generally speaking I like the snow but it creates icy patches on our walks which makes it dangerous. Hopefully it will be our last snowfall for the season. At least with the rain you can bring an umbrella.
