Are you happy with your bathroom?

I was watching one of those buy-this home shows. In every home, no matter what the bathroom looked like, all the prospective new owners said "This won't do, It has to go". Plus there's all these ads on TV for bathroom remodeling. According to statistics, the bathroom is the most often remodeled room in the house.
Are you happy with your bathroom?

Building a new bathroom in the basement with a tub for Lorie... Shower only in this house when we bought the house... But eventually, I am thinking of converting the smallest bedroom into a new bathroom, and a bigger shower, and also putting the laundry upstairs... But need to finish the one downstairs... Tub and toilet work, still need to plumb in the vanity, and put some kind of ceiling in...And YOU might all enjoy to know I put an electric fireplace in the wall for her also to enjoy...

Very happy. My wife wanted a step in shower so that getting into the tub/ shower combination could be a hazard as we aged. We left the other bathroom with the tub/ shower combo just in case soaking in a warm tub of water would be useful.

During the pandemic when the government was handing out money our money was spent remodeling the main bathroom. I did the remodel. I put in a step in shower with sliding glass door. New lighting, new toilet, new vanity, new sink & new floor covering. Couldn't be happier with the results.

Yes, I like it (I'm writing about MY bathroom, not the main bathroom). But no one else would like it. It's the one and only one room in my house that is my private domain. Guests never go there, and can't get there by accident, because it's at the far end of the house, off the end of my bedroom. It has a mirror that takes up one wall over a 6' long countertop, dark tile floors, and a dark marble shower. I keep it clean, but it always looks messy and/or cluttered because everything I need is out and convenient to get to, just the way I want it.

OP title is:
Are you happy with your bathroom?

OP title should be:
Are you satisfied with your bathroom?

The reason is most of us other than a few of those looking for new homes, are NOT emotional nor ever think about otherwise functional residence functions like bathrooms, windows, or closets, etc unless say something is less than functional or breaks.

Hope you use mold & mildew resistant dry wall for the ceiling. Also hope you have tool rental for hanging that like in this video. I used cement back board for the walls because that helped a lot with making sure there was no warping when tiling the walls. I cheated a little for the floor & used a pan like this one.

Thank you @Knight, used that tool many times when I was doing renovations... Sure beat the days when we used to use 2X4s and a 3' 2'4 making a T to hold the drywall up while we screwed it on the ceiling. I'm not sure what I am doing with the ceiling as of yet... For the walls around the bathroom, I insulated the walls with styrofoam glued on the walls, did my plumbing and electrical and then built the walls 8" away from the wall... So air can move around behind the walls... I used a Sani flow system to pump the toilet tub, and vanity up to the septic, instead of digging up the floor and putting just a pump in... Sani flow works like a dream...

Good to know there is another DIY senior still active.

As David777 said, it's more a matter of functionality than decor. I have hated the color of the walls in our master bath since the day we moved in... but not bothered enough to paint it. However, I am dissatisfied with the shower/tub combo. Stepping over the side has nearly caused me to break something important on more than one occasion. I would like to have a nice walk-in shower.
