What have you bought recently?

@Twostep, to answer your question about reusing bottles for my home brew, yes as long as they
are not 'twist-off' type.
After transferring my fermented brew to a bottling bucket, add priming sugar, transfer to bottles
and then a capping tool, cap bottles and store in cool, dark place.

I prefer brown bottles to prevent (UV) light from affecting the flavor.

Just easier to buy new ones to replace those not returned than to buy store bought beer, drink contents,
and clean bottles.

Thanks for asking.

Have you considered having a chat with local bars to get free bottles?

The last time I posted on this thread, I purchased a new thermostat. Since then, I needed to replace my clothes dryer and now the house needs a new roof.
I looked up your previous post - it was only two months ago, and the thermostat was about to cost you $1300 - $1500, including installation and tax. Ouch!

It's been an expensive year for you and we're only 4-1/2 months in. I sure hope this will be the last of your big ticket item replacements for a good long while. 🤗

A new set of Milwaukee tools: driver/impact driver, multi-tool, skil saw, sawzall, grinder, impact wrench (which I gave to a friend cuz I will never use it), extra battery and charger. Good thing because the battery that came with it is faulty. Will return it tomorrow.

Also, four 3/4" 100' hoses and one 3/4" 50' hose, along with some fittings.

Ten new sprinklers.

A new induction cook top; the old one was dying.

A part for the soft-close trash can that stopped closing softly and just slams shut.

Can't wait to get the credit card bill.

I bought this 3 way surge protected adaptor to replace one I already have that doesn't have the cloured switches.

I bought it at 11pm last night, and it's in the socket this afternoon..

...and today I bought a cordless power washer . I have a Karcher full size unit, but it's a PITA to get all out and hook it all up just to spray the bird poop from my car... so I know the PSi on the cordless power washer is much lower, but it's still supposed to be strong enough to clear dust and fresh bird poop off the car..

This AM went window shopping on Amazon. My pants were becoming thread bare, so bought 6 new causal wear pants 3 black, 3 slate grey to coordinate with my black & grey shirts. Being OCD helps my decision making less stressful. Will be here on Tuesday. Goodwill will get the old. Sandals & shorts are not a good look for me.

In the depths of winter just past, I bought a comforter for my new bed. I found it to be light yet so warm that no additional blankets were needed even on the coldest nights. Yesterday it was on sale for half price so I ordered another one, just to have on hand as a replacement should I need one. Also ordered a 3lb bag of pitted dates.
