What's making you feel old today?

Wait til 70+ :)

About 9 times out of 10 I wake up from my nap, and I feel 20 years older, and I fight to stay awake, and I want to go back to sleep. I am grumpy, mean, and nasty for hours. Useless I tell you, useless...and...old! :)

Wow, I was born in 1950. As a boy I was very active including playing baseball, football and wrestling, yep, the town I lived in had a small college, the wrestlers on the college team ran a wrestling program for kids. It was great and lots of fun. By the time we got in high school we were ahead of most the guys we wrestled from other towns. We also had full contact football, with full pads, after we were in 7th grade.

I have a bad knee, I had a ruptured disc in my neck in 1967, and I have a bad shoulder from tackling...but I currently have no, ongoing pain with any of these. If I overdue lifting or like shoveling dirt, it will flare up, but it then calms down after I am done for a few hours. I guess I am lucky, although my neck is stiff, and it does hurts at times when I am sleeping. But again, nothing that keeps me awake long...

I put my back out somehow. The other day my hip dropped some. I thought walking would help make it better but I may have been wrong. Today my right leg all the way up to the hip is filled with pins and needles. I currently usng a TENS unit on the parts that hurt the most, hoping it will help bring relief.

When I realize my youngest son is two months from retirement and he’s old enough to have 5 grandchildren.

Yeap. When I started having great-grandchildren, I realized I had thought about being a grandma but not about being a great-grandmother. 😧

Yesterday, my daughter-in-law and a late life grandchild visited. She is much taller than me, like her Dad, and absolutely gorgeous! They live far away so it has been a long time since I last saw her. Her sister is a mother, and oh my goodness her son is a handful. I won't be spending time with him until he learns to stop when I say stop. She and her son live close by.

Vida May. I think I’m up to 18 greats now, unless someone in the family had another child within the past week..😊

Using my TENS unit fixed my back problem completely. I’m feeling better already. Yayy. I can walk tomorrow.

Amazing how that happens. I had only two children, but they multiplied and their children multiplied. Reminds me of a math thing about multiplying rabbits. 😂

What is a TENS unit?
It’s an electronic pulse muscle stimulator
They cost about $25 US dollars.
This is one from Amazon Canada
They have the exact ones on Amazon .com

The above unit is from Amazon Canada so is in Canadian money. Amazon.com has the exact same ones. I picked this one becatse it’s the exact same one I got.

They are small devices that you use to artificially stimulate your muscles . You place the pads on your muscles and turn up the dial at the level that’s most comfortable for you.

I use them for when I throw my back out of alignment. Sometimes one hip drops lower than the other and makes my lower back hurt. The tension unit stimulates the muscles to takes away the pain. It works for me every single time. I’ll use it until the pain goes away. It’s definitely worth the $25 it costs to get it.
