A flower a day ...

When I once worked in the floral dept of a Kroger store, a young woman said she wanted to buy a potted plant gift for someone. She didn't know what to get but she told me who she was buying for. What immediately came to my mind was a little pot of purplish cyclamen. As I held it up to her, described its easy care, the reasonable price and pointed out the little, spindly blooms, she became mesmerized. She happily took it from my hands and went to the checkout with stars in her eyes. ✨
They are mesmerizing, that's for sure, I can't wait till winter comes so I can go hiking and finding these beauties in the wild, they look so pretty against the snow.

I like the contrasting color of the hedge for those red roses.

Here is a scene from Hidcote manor with a similar green and burgundy back drop on red roses.
