Multiple people have been set on fire as a screaming topless man launched Molotov cocktails at them during a peaceful pro-Israel rally in Boulder, Colorado.

FBI Director Kash Patel called the incident a 'targeted terror attack' against demonstrators as they gathered to remember the October 7 victims who are still being held hostage in Gaza on Sunday afternoon.

The horror unfolded during the event, organized by Run For Their Lives, on Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder at around 1.26pm, police said.
Shocking video and images from the scene showed several victims laying motionless on the ground beside Israel flags as witnesses rushed to pour water on their wounds.

Horrifying video also showed the suspect, a middle-aged man, holding bottles of what appeared to be alcohol for the Molotov cocktails as he shouted at bystanders.

EMTs rushed to treat people at the scene and move some to hospital in stretchers as flames spread on patches of ground nearby amid burned-out bottles.

Another video showed what looked like a burn scar across the ground close to the town's old courthouse.

It's unclear how many people were injured, the extent of the injuries, or the identity of the attacker

We are aware of and fully investigating a targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado,' said FBI Director Kash Patel just after 5.20pm.

'Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available.'

Boulder Police said they were evacuating several blocks of the typically popular pedestrian mall area, saying that there were 'several victims' in the attack.

The department's chief, Steve Redfearn, told a press conference victims suffered 'injuries consistent with burns, and other injuries'.

Redfearn added that police were not yet releasing the identity of the suspect, but said he was detained and taken into custody 'without incident'.

Police asked residents to avoid the stretch of Pearl Street between Walnut and Pine as they continue to investigate.

*Sigh*It never f^&'n ends!

Horrifying and sadistic burning people on purpose

Apparently a pro Palestinian protest there the day before.

The suspect is reportedly a visa overstay.

I'm hearing/seeing some complaining why no one tried to take him out. If someone already burned people on purpose for some getting burned is a bigger fear than death.

Speedy recovery to survivors/those injured.

Peace

Oh geez. People like this always makes me think who in their right mind would do this? All of this brutality would make kind folks think "Who would come up with this act?" "How did they even think of doing that?" My husband said something. Even though the USA has the freedom of speech, the pro Palestinians should go to Palestine and protest there. The pro Ukrainians should go to Ukraine and protest there. I'm all for freedom of speech in our USA but truly, I (and I believe many others) don't want to start the war here in the U.S. of A. Sorry if I may have overstepped my boundaries. Just our opinion.

Why ? Why shouldn't people have peaceful protests about these things? Just like people did about Vietnam war or any war or situation.

Obviously nobody condones acts like this one but that doesn't mean peaceful protests should be banned.

Bill of Rights Amendments

First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Some folks need to read the Constitution, don't they?

multicultural countries become more complex and difficult to control eg USA ; Britain ;Germany etc etc - uni-cultural ones seemed to work quite well in the past?

This is not a matter of being a multicultural country. Soliman came here in 2022 on a visa and it had since expired meaning he was not here legally. He had previously been denied a visa in 2005... details are still emerging.

Agree completely. Protests would not be needed if Netanyahu wasn't a war criminal who is using that initial October attack to continue his senseless killing spree of Palestinians, health aid workers who want to assist those in desperate need, etc.

He's also halted food and medical aid for his victims, he's on a roll, he won't stop. He wants to eliminate all Palestinians completely, one way or another. Can we say genocide?

He takes advantage of using the excuse of killing Hamas, by slaughtering innocent Palestinians, medical workers, anyone who gets in the way of his blood lust.

I don't care about using my taxes to keep this lunatic in jail, just cut off money to the murderous dictator Netanyahu. If he's put in prison where he belongs and replaced by someone who the Israeli people would support and is not unhinged and power hungry, things will calm down.

BTW, when are the hotels, spas, golf courses and casinos coming to the Gaza strip?

Until the theft and killings stop, all in America have the right to peacefully protest, we haven't gotten that far down the road to Fascism yet here, have we? Be patient, it won't take long at the rate we're going.

True - countries like what is now America and Australia worked quite well before white people invaded them

Everywhere else however has always been multicultural as have those countries since arrival of non indiginous people. The dominant culture just hasn't always recognised the contributions of other peoples.

Ive read some really interesting books about, for example, chinese immigrants to Australia - goes back to 1800's, really interesting reading about "invisible history"

If by "worked quite well" you mean "inhabited by Stone Age people who lived in a perpetual state of war, who enslaved other tribes and inflicted barbaric tortures upon captives," then you would be accurate about the people who lived in what is now the United States.

I don't know anything about Australia's original inhabitants so I'll refrain from comment there.

I'm exercising my freedom of speech to say I vehemently disagree with everything you wrote. Protests to free the hostages would not be needed if "Palestinians" hadn't slaughtered innocent people and taken (and kept) hundreds of hostages. It all follows from that.

If the "Palestinians" ever do get their own state, it will be a wretched theocracy subjugating women and gay people in the name of Allah. You do know that, don't you?
