Wearing a company's symbol on your purchase

I agree. But young consumers like to show off the company or where you bought it. The Gap, Old Navy clothes are popular where I live. Then you are advertising the store with ads. Buying designer stuff has always been status, showing off your fashion purchase.
I have sports shirts of my favorite baseball and hockey teams, but their players are so bad, I am ashamed to wear it.

The only items I wear that show a logo are my work sneaks. I wear New Balance exclusively, I have several in different colors and the NB logo in the side is unassuming.

I refuse to wear any clothing items that display a logo.

It is difficult to avoid labels on sportwear. Even LL Bean started to put a larger logo on their clothing several years ago. Customers did not approve of it but they continue to do it.
I am not into labels. I am used to see them on sportwear, so it does not seem to bother me.
When I was young and working I would buy Chanel eye makeup as well as their lipstick. Not because of the brand but because of the beautiful colors! Now, I cannot stand seeing their enormous brand sign on earrings, or necklaces. It looks so tacky!
That's the word--TACKY.

When my wife walked into the Dooney and Bourke outlet store at our local mall, I was shocked at the prices of the Handbags.

She found the one she wanted and held it out for me to see.
All I could see was the price.

I looked at her and said, 'Really?'

She put the bag down, placed cupped hands over each ear and stared at me.
I couldn't figure out what she was trying to convey.

Then it dawned on me she was reminding me that I had purchased some rather expensive headphones just the week before.

I smiled, took the bag to the register and made the purchase.

Pet peeve of mine. I have a striped shirt from Talbot's, which I otherwise love, except for the Talbot's label unmovably stitched near the bottom of the shirt. I wanted to remove the label, but it had machine stitching all the way around, and it would have ruined the shirt. Sometimes I roll up the bottom to cover it. But that makes the shirt a lot shorter than it's supposed to be.

It was a gift from my daughter. When I told her about it, she said she never even noticed the label. Because of the stripes on the shirt, the label wasn't that obvious. But what a way to ruin an otherwise beautiful piece of clothing.

I'd rather not have logos usually, but sometimes on other people if I admire their garment and can see the logo it is helpful. Mostly things like sport shoes (like Hoka), raincoats or jackets (such as "North Face").

So many of the brands on Amazon appear to be random assortments of letters, I'd hate to see those on garments.

Since it’s at the bottom of the shirt, do you think you could take a permanent magic marker and colour it out. I’ve done that.
