Came back late last night after a trip to visit family on the east coast. First thing I did was check the bed for bedbugs. None.
Interestingly, given the timing of this thread, our hotel room had
no typical drawers in the room or bathroom. There was a wardrobe closet with pole and hangers. Bathroom had long double tiered counters plus a single cubby.
Bedroom nightstands were flat surfaces without shelves or drawers, ditto the desk. The dresser beneath the TV opened up to a mini fridge on one side and three sliding metal baskets with on the other, but no traditional drawers.
The bed was on a large metal box that went went down to the floor, so nothing could wind up underneath.
I thought it was a great idea. Lurking bedbugs and other potential hitchhikers would have been easy to spot and it was easy to be sure nothing was left behind when we were packing up to leave.
