How smart home technology helping seniors?
There's all sorts of "smart" technologies for the home, like smart HVAC thermostats, voice responsive spying devices like Alexa, and robotic helpers like these:How smart home technology helping seniors?
That's about my take on it.It works very well, I don't get much in the way of spam, and as for malware, etc. I just don't click on anything I think might be dodgy. So I'm not intending to regrade anytime soon.
hahahahaha !!!!CaliS, you just talked to me here. It must be smart tech.
I love that. LOLMy hands are the smart technology in my home. I use them to turn everything on and off.
Call in a TV engineer he'll set it up for you...if not that then one of your neighbours teens will do it.....I recently asked for help on a computer chat room. When it was found out I was still using Windows 7, I received some pretty discouraging comments. One was that I am endangering the whole world by using such outdated software.
Not everyone is a computer whiz.
Even though I assume I have at least average intelligence, electronics are a mystery to me. I have a flat panel TV a friend gave to me and I'm still using my old CRT TV because I don't know how to set up another TV to work with cable - programming the remote is the tricky part.
yes there is, Toshiba, Samsung & Cobalt to name a few do voice operated Microwave ovens ...Question, not done much research on this but, I have a 31 year old Special needs Gr-Son (mentality of 12 yr old)
He is now at times left alone at home but is scared to even cook for himself, stove or micro because he gets distracted
easily and has burnt things in the past.
Is there such a stove or micro that can be set by voice if he reads the cooking time into it?
Thanks, I will pass it on to my son and that may be the only way to get him to feed himself when he's alone.yes there is, Toshiba, Samsung & Cobalt to name a few do voice operated Microwave ovens ...
My question is why? We've lived our lives getting along just fine without having smart light bulbs and other electronic devices that can spy on us. So really why?
The problem you'll eventually run into is that computers and their technology will continue to advance causing your Windows 7 to not function properly. While Win 7 was a great operating system, Microsoft isn't making money if they don't upgrade and make your computer obsolete. They seem to be updating OS's faster and faster. I think there's been two Win OS changes since I got my Mac.I recently asked for help on a computer chat room.
