Vaughn! Thank you. I take hydrocodone, formally known as Vicodin, I believe. If I take prescribed dosage, I do it my way. Although this helps with the pain, it puts me in a state of being high that I don't like at all. Therefore, must be more inventive as to how & when I use it. Really hate the mental effects.

Morning all,it certainly felt like a cool autumn morning on my usual walk at 6:45, temp was 40 when I went across the street to buy papers for Connie& myself
This morning at 10,going to weekly exercise class for 45 min.I've invited 2 Tudor Plaza friends, Liz& Jean for lunch at 12:15, look forward to seeing them & catch up with what's going on their lives
The rest of my day, read NYT, hope to take afternoon stroll,having dinner again tonight with Connie and 2 other residents at 5:30

@hawkdon The squirrels...have they availed themselves of the free pumpkin?

Kids! It's nippy here this morning. 56F when I got up. We haven't had a morning temp lower than 60 since late in April. It's going to be a pleasant weekend in the 70s but heating up again next week. Drat. At least our nights will continue to be in the upper 50s. And...the a/c has been turned off for at least a couple of days.

I got a late start here this morning because I was out planting flowers and moving some plants for a better view from my favorite spot on the patio. There are some allium bulbs that I want to plant, but they can wait until another day.

It took about 45 minutes of back-and-forthing to get it in. When I say we have about 8" of wiggle room between the camper slide's canopy roll and the house's rain gutters and eaves, I'm not whistling Dixie. (We had the eaves cut back to the bare minimum when we bought the RV.)

Our street is relatively narrow, so no chance of a straight shot in.

I hate when we have back-in sites, @Pappy. Watching us is very entertaining for those around us though. If it gets too difficult I ask someone for help and am astonished at how well many can guide DH perfectly into the spot.

It helps me to read of other people's tales of woe - makes me feel less like the sole incompetent at the task. Truckers have my undying admiration.

p.s. The front of the RV doesn't jut into the sidewalk - that's a photo optical illusion.

Now that’s close. I also traveled with my friend who was a trailer driver so he would help me if I got too frustrated. Always tried to find a pull through if available.
