Learning How To Live Life

I think I'm getting too old to play the shooter video games. I might just stick with Assassin's Creed & my cozy games. I tried at least.

Watching tv and waiting for my meal to digest.

I should be sleeping but my sinuses are driving me crazy. It spit a little rain and snow this morning. Might see more snow on Monday.

I'm getting very concerned about Pepper. It's been 3 days since she left the skilled nursing unit. I sure hope she's ok.

I'm working this weekend. I wish I could sleep better but man my sinuses are just so stopped up!

Good morning! It is a frosty 18 degrees outside. And a cozy 73-74 degrees in here. I'm trying to get into the habit of putting my flaxseed oil into my coffee or tea each day so I can remember to get it into me. I take it for my cholesterol. Plus it's supposed to help with dry skin. Takes care of constipation too.
:ROFLMAO: πŸ˜‚πŸ˜†πŸ˜„

I got a little more sleep last night than the night before so I will take what I can get. Trying to remember to take my multivitamin every day as well. I need to start staying on top of some of these things.

So far 13 items at Walmart are at $51. It's ridiculous. I don't know how they expect us to survive this. But, whatever. I dusted the unit last night as well as sweeping the unit. Nobody did that while I was on vacation. It's pretty busy this weekend. We had 11 holds in the unit waiting for beds upstairs last night. They had one nurse aid (they call them techs now) so no linens got passed. So today may be a 3 linen cart day.

There's 25 rooms in the unit plus the internal waiting area where less severe patients are kept. I don't know how they can legally get away with 1 tech. The day the surveyors were in there they had more staff than they did work. Next day back to one tech again.

Right before I was leaving work one of the psych patients went ballistic and the security guard had to stand there and keep an on him for a while.

Such fun in the work place. LOL

I can't stand seeing all the doom scrolling posts. I don't know why it's necessary when it's all over the internet. I wish there was a place I could go online without having to see those horrible headlines.
I don't comprehend that either.
I wish maybe there was a separate section.... called Doom & Gloom?

I've been just putting those folks on ignore so I don't have to keep seeing the headlines over and over. Some of them are very upsetting. I still like the people I just can't handle seeing the thread titles repeatedly in the new posts section.

That's such a strange work place, yet so important!

Terrible to have only 1 tech on a shift.

I'm glad you got a little extra sleep.

I take Flax oil, and stir it into my oatmeal. Let it set for a minute or 2, and it absorbs it.
I don't think I'd like it in my coffee.

I can't taste it in there. I think they have some flavored flaxseed oil in bottles on Amazon. Like one I thought was blackberry? If they're sweet they'd go great in water. I will have to try that oatmeal trick.
