I listen to one station I like in the car. Also, I can listen to it via the TV.
Thank you, I thought that I was the only one .I also changed to a station that I don't usually listen to until that station also started playing christmas music, so now I listen to CD's in the car. I like to listen to the radio indoors but until the christmas music stops probably around the middle of January I will listen to music on my phone.Same. I always have the radio on in the car - I had to change stations recently - the station I always listen to started playing Christmas music in November - nope. not gonna listen. I keep the radio on very softly.
You can get a bunch of the old radio shows on YouTube. Once in awhile I'll fire one up, sit back, relax, and not be bothered with looking at anything while letting my imagination take over. It's too bad radio programs went out of style.
Who can blame you.I live in Alabama.
The choices here are:
1. Holy Roller Radio
2. Country Music Radio
3. Right Wing Talk Radio.
So, no, I don't listen to the radio.
Well, it's understandable. They've got to get the funding from somewhere. But it does tend to mitigate the public's ability to influence the programming.I already said this...further back on this thread. we pay £174.00 annually TV& Radio licence...
That's what I get if I cross the river into West Virginia, but here in Ohio we also have Rap.I live in Alabama.

However, there's always NPR and that's what I listen to every day. My little battery operated radio goes with me from the kitchen to the room where I relax and do puzzles. It stands between me and the world of electronics and the Idiocracy.
I started out with a toot-a-loop!

I listened to the radio, then cassette tapes, then CDS and now I have a subscription to Spotify.

I need to look for something like what you have. I don’t own a radio or CD player anymore but wish I did. I remember looking in a store just a couple years ago and no radios for sale whatsoever! I’ll have to give it a go again one of these days.I'm always listening to the radio in the car when I'm by myself. Hubby doesn't like listening to it in the car unless we are traveling somewhere.
If I want to get work done inside the house (TV on = nothing done), I turn on the radio like the one below. I sold my cassette tapes years ago at a sale & now I wish I would have kept them. I'll still pull out CDs & a few records from time to time. In the basement, I have my little radio/CD player that I used in my office at work.
Outside, I have our Milwaukee radio & I'll plug in my I-Pod to play.

I like the 90s music, and even-though The Nineties is 30 years ago the music doesn't quite fit the "oldies" genre, unless your birth year starts with a 2.The other thing that's depressing about listening to the radio is that when they say they are playing "oldies" it's songs from the 90's. Jesus Christ! The 90's? Oldies are songs from the 60's!

When my radio was new it was known as a wireless, because the term referred to its ability to transmit signals through the air without physical wires, contrasting it with the wired telegraphs and telephones of the time.
