How are you today?

what i don't understand is why they won't give her the insulin she needs. i didn't think it was legal to withold diabetes medicine from a patient. hopefully she can call her primary and get that person to intervene on her behalf or maybe her son.
Hopefully something has to get better. That place she's at sounds like some kind of prison!

Don, hope you get help soon! Maybe go to the ER. 🫂

Insulin reduces blood sugars. Most diabetics who use insulin check their blood sugars before taking the insulin. If they are low, the insulin is not given.

@Pepper Not sure if the antibiotics will reduce blood sugars to that degree. I wonder if there was an insulin dose error prior to it becoming so low? Do you dose yourself or does someone else do it?

I hope it's back to your normal, though.

Hawkie, "PC doc visit next week" isn't really sufficient since you had first responders there often this week to get you up... and the last few days are a blur. If your carelady suggests immediate evaluation, please listen to her, okay? And even if she doesn't, maybe she can drive you somewhere to find out what's going on. You can fight it better if you know what it is. 🫂

hope you're able to find something soon.

i keep getting mail from the car insurance place. i decided i no longer want to drive. between my eye sight and my copd i just think it's best i don't. our cabs in this town are terrible and cost more than uber so i use uber. after getting left at the wrong clinic one time when i had covid and having the cab driver hang up on me when i tried to get a ride to the proper one i don't bother with cabs anymore.
I have found out the Uber is taking cash now, too. I have to figure out how to use their app when you pay cash.

I got the cab and went to the places I needed. Funny thing was that the cab driver said there was no oil in the cab. Apparently it's leaking. He did put 2 quarts of oil in it. I hope he got back to the cab place. It's a 2025 Chrysler and I hope the engine doesn't go on it. That would be so expensive for them!

I have to start getting out more. I don't have a car anymore so I'd be walking or take Uber or a cab. It's going to get real cold again unfortunately.

I'm really worried for you as many of us are. It doesn't sound like something that can wait for a PC visit. I don't understand why the firemen didn't take you to the ER. I know you don't want to go back to the ER, but maybe you should, for safety's sake. Thinking of you and sending good energy. ❤️
