How Did You Sleep?

Me too. The nerve pain was very bad last night. I had burning mouth so bad I had to get up and put frozen berries in to cool it down. I can't do anything for my inner ears though. I probably got 3-4 hours sleep out of 7 hours laying there.

Ugh. Sorry for you, Dennis. :( 🤗
Thank you. Sometimes I feel like the world is harsh, but life was never promised. We live by our own means. Mine has led to this autonomic pain when I sleep. I am trying to get off every med. from doctors, but that is going to take awhile (tapering ). meantime...

I have an appointment with a sleep study doc Jan.29th. I called them to put me on a list, I will go in earlier if someone cancels.

Agreed. The world can be so harsh and it doesn't seem fair. Well, it isn't fair, really. Why do we teach young children to expect the world to be fair when we know it isn't.

I'm sorry for your current struggles and I hope it's a good thing for you, coming off your meds., and you find help from the sleep study. 🤗

I have not. Wouldn't they make your brain more active.

I typically meditate, do some deep breathing and pull on my ear lobes.
I tend to choose books I find comforting or soothing for night time. And there's also the sleep timer, which I find useful.

I haven't heard of pulling on the earlobes. Interesting.

I wasn't aware they had sleep timers.

This from the Internet:

The ears contain branches of nerves (including the vagus nerve and trigeminal nerve). Gentle stimulation can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is associated with calming and relaxation.

In traditional Chinese medicine and reflexology, the earlobe is linked to stress relief points. While not scientifically proven in the same way as medication, many people report subjective benefit.

Interesting. :)

Edit: Added a smiley.
