It's very windy today so the feeder is sending me lots of motion-detected pictures of... nothing.
But we did get this pretty little guy.
And earlier, before I'd cleaned the rain and soggy seeds out of the feeder, the camera caught this!

Look who was hanging out in the bush!
I'm so happy to see him! I've only seen his mate so far, but I knew he had to be around and there he is!
Pretty sure that's him near the fence as well.
So, you can see in the pictures what the rain did to the feeder over the course of yesterday. This morning, like a genius, I went out to the feeder, dumped out and reattached the tray, and then scooped more, dry seed from the feeder into the tray... with my bare hands. You know, the hot seed I've been talking about. The kind you really should have gloves and probably a mask on to handle?
I couldn't get the seed out of the feeder very quickly just using my finger to loosen it so I open the freaking feeder up to scoop handfuls.
I'm so thankful I realized what I'd done before I touched my face! Sheesh. I feel lame.
On the upside, I haven't received a single squirrel picture today.
