Pictures From My Smart Bird Feeder

In the meantime, the hot seed has just arrived so when husband wakes up from his nap he will load the feeder and we'll see how it works. Fingers crossed.

Husband is also envisioning something with chicken wire to deter them if the hot seed isn't enough.

I don't have pictures yet today as they have all been of squirrels. 😭

Yes, it's definitely worth it. :)
We didn't get to put the hot seed in today because it's been rainy all day. So, tomorrow, hopefully. I'm anxious to see how well it works.

It doesn't hurt the birds at all. The pepper oil is only effective on mammals so the birds can eat it with not problems. :)

So true! Husband needs to wear mask, gloves and even goggles wouldn't be a bad idea. 🥸

I think it would hurt our Lucius if he got into it so, we need to be careful to keep him away. The feeder isn't in a place he usually goes so it shouldn't be too difficult to keep him away, especially as he's never outside while not on leash.
 
I don't have any pictures today because it's been raining all day. We did get one of our lady Cardinal friend, but you guys have seen a lot of her, I know.

We put the hot seed in today, so hopefully tomorrow will be a bit dryer and we'll see how the seed works.

Husband has the idea to mount an umbrella on the cross poll above the feeder, but that will have to wait now until he gets back from Florida.
