I didn't realize it was a historical building. Quite impressive.

Check out your local FB or online chat group. If you don’t belong, it doesn’t hurt to join. I just read, never reply.
It is quiet now and it doesn't seem like any activity going on. I will look at a local chat site and see if it is mentioned and read the local online newspaper tomorrow. Good grief, it was almost like one of those shootings you see on TV.

Please let us know if this works! My two small (15# & 20#) dogs like to cuddle up, one in front of my legs, the other against my back so I am trapped. The other evening, the old guy climbed over my head to get on my chest. No no no. You get back to your spot. I roll blankets up in such a way that it surrounds them (in winter).

The spaniel will go outside in any weather (3 yrs old). The old shihtzu will step outside the door and turn right back around and come back inside if it's raining. Too funny.

The full size electric blanket is on the bed. At first, I thought they would leave me alone because they were both sprawled out near the foot of the bed.

However, the Pitbull still thinks she is a 5 pound puppy and tries her darndest to get her whole chubby person on top of me — even now with a bigger electric blanket.

It isn’t an epic failure to keep them off of me, but it is somewhat of a failure. Don’t have any expectations for your two little fluffy butts😇😇

The electrician has been here for about an hour .. and twice he's unceremoniously switched off all the power to the upstairs of the house.

He apologised the first time, and I said no worries.. but can you let me know if you're going to do that again, because I was in the middle of a zoom call and my Mac just shut down without notice..... he said he would...10 minutes later he did it again.... I wasn't quite so pleasant about it this time... ! I'm afraid he's going to damage my Very expensive Mac.. keep shutting it down like that. He has no reason to turn off the power to the upstairs of my house...

On the up side.. the sun is out and the sky almost blue.....

Good morning everyone. It is cold outside now and will only be 63 degrees today.

All is quiet in the neighborhood. No mention of the gun shots on the neighbor site or local news online. I hope I don't hear them anymore.

I hope all is well with everyone and things go your way today. :)

Maybe it's possible that he is tying into those upstairs lines somehow, instead of coming directly off the meter/source? I have been surprised a time or two when that was done here because in certain parts of this house, there is no attic through which to run them. In fact, in the laundry/utility room, the lines are in conduit and affixed to the wall. So is the plumbing. Bad News = it looks awful. Good News = it's easily accessible.
He still should have let you know in advance, however.

How is your wound?

I have an appointment to see my retina surgeon today - one appointment I dread the most. I have to inconvenience someone to bring me, wait and take me home. Sometimes it could be up to 4 hours. It's a 60 mile round trip on busy congested roads and afterward my vision will be very blurred, so I can't drive. What a bother! I feel this visit is redundant since I also see a ophthalmologist and they seem to do the same tests.

I don't think it is because he apologised... if he'd had to do it he would have explained....

My wound ?.. do you mean my leg ?... I've been in the wars since the summer so my body is recovering from a few wounds...:(

The leg seems to be healing.. however it's still stinging like the devil

Another day over... after a whole day of verrry loud drilling........ the electrics are all chased .. and the faceplates are all on, but not fixed to the walls because the plasterer is coming tomorrow... and then I'm told that to ensure the new plaster dries throughly, there will be no work done on Wednesday.... probably.... so I hope that's the case because I really need to go and run a few errands...

I'm so tired.... but it's only 6pm.. if I go to sleep now.. I'll be awake at midnight..🥱

You should dump the Mac and get a real computer.

No, actually if you get a UPS battery backup power supply it can handle surprise blackouts and also communicate with the computer to do a normal shutdown when battery has run low.

Another wet dull day. Mrs Oy is up and dressed! After 4 days in bed she's on the mend.

I had a drive into Kendal to get my favourite coffee beans and have a late breakfast at one of my favourite cafe's "Brew Brothers".

Toasted sourdough with local Cumberland sausage, thick back bacon and a fried egg. Pea shoots to make it look a bit posh :)

Not sure what happened there.

This afternoon I thought I was having a mini stroke. I reached down to pick up a key I had dropped and I became more than dizzy and limp and slumped in my chair. I was due to leave in 10 minutes for an appointment. I was aboit to cancel when one of the guys offered to drive my car. I related the episode to the vascular doc along with prescription changes. He was sure it was the result of my new BP medicine.

The medicine is carvedilol. That seems to be a side effect they were faniliar with. The cardiologist will prescribe something else. If I hadn't kept the appointment I would know none of this and would take my evening dose an make it worse. My clogged artery is also doing much better. So 2 pieces of good news from vein and vascular. And I guess I get to live another day!

Hi MoBeans,I live right in the city, today we got 2 inches unlike areas south of here where they get the bulk of the snow. Its been a weird weather pattern the past week, no snow on the ground, Fri's high was 61, yesterday with rain it hit 40,today temps in the 30's Sue
Wow. Nice weather in Buffalo in winter?? I do not remember days like that. My sister lived in Cassadaga for a few years and she used to report amazing snow totals down there. I think she was right in the middle of the lake effect snow zone. I remember numerous 3' snow storms when we lived downtown Buffalo on Crescent ave back in the 60s. As a kid I thought everybody got snow like that.

Good morning peeps of SF....🙋‍♀️

Wet, altho; not raining and still not quite light here... .. I must be tireder than I thought. I went to bed at 11.30pm , and 5 minutes before the alarm went off at 7.00 am..I woke up..I often wake up just minutes before the alarm... and I got up, still dark.. and thought I was walking in my sleep. Not awake at all even after 7 hours sleep... It's 8.15am now.. I've been showered and dress, and got tea... and I still feel half asleep...

Supermarket grocery delivery is arriving in a little while.... irritated that , according to the text I got this morning.. 4 items are not available , those are the very 4 items I needed... :(
Pharmacist at the surgery wil be calling this morning.. to question me as to whether i still need my prescription meds. They do this every year...

Have the best Tuesday you can folks.... 🌺
