It is quiet now and it doesn't seem like any activity going on. I will look at a local chat site and see if it is mentioned and read the local online newspaper tomorrow. Good grief, it was almost like one of those shootings you see on TV.Check out your local FB or online chat group. If you don’t belong, it doesn’t hurt to join. I just read, never reply.
Please let us know if this works! My two small (15# & 20#) dogs like to cuddle up, one in front of my legs, the other against my back so I am trapped. The other evening, the old guy climbed over my head to get on my chest. No no no. You get back to your spot. I roll blankets up in such a way that it surrounds them (in winter).
The spaniel will go outside in any weather (3 yrs old). The old shihtzu will step outside the door and turn right back around and come back inside if it's raining. Too funny.
Maybe it's possible that he is tying into those upstairs lines somehow, instead of coming directly off the meter/source? I have been surprised a time or two when that was done here because in certain parts of this house, there is no attic through which to run them. In fact, in the laundry/utility room, the lines are in conduit and affixed to the wall. So is the plumbing. Bad News = it looks awful. Good News = it's easily accessible. He has no reason to turn off the power to the upstairs of my house...![]()
I don't think it is because he apologised... if he'd had to do it he would have explained....Maybe it's possible that he is tying into those upstairs lines somehow, instead of coming directly off the meter/source? He still should have let you know in advance, however.
How is your wound?
sorry missed this ..^^^.... the plumbing looks fine.....Maybe it's possible that he is tying into those upstairs lines somehow, instead of coming directly off the meter/source? The electrician has been here for about an hour .. and twice he's unceremoniously switched off all the power to the upstairs of the house.
He apologised the first time, and I said no worries.. but can you let me know if you're going to do that again, because I was in the middle of a zoom call and my Mac just shut down without notice..... he said he would...10 minutes later he did it again.... I wasn't quite so pleasant about it this time... ! I'm afraid he's going to damage my Very expensive Mac.. keep shutting it down like that. He has no reason to turn off the power to the upstairs of my house...
On the up side.. the sun is out and the sky almost blue.....

cheeky sod....real computer... tsk !You should dump the Mac and get a real computer.
No, actually if you get a UPS battery backup power supply it can handle surprise blackouts and also communicate with the computer to do a normal shutdown when battery has run low.

Not sure what happened there.
This afternoon I thought I was having a mini stroke. I reached down to pick up a key I had dropped and I became more than dizzy and limp and slumped in my chair. I was due to leave in 10 minutes for an appointment. I was aboit to cancel when one of the guys offered to drive my car. I related the episode to the vascular doc along with prescription changes. He was sure it was the result of my new BP medicine.
The medicine is carvedilol. That seems to be a side effect they were faniliar with. The cardiologist will prescribe something else. If I hadn't kept the appointment I would know none of this and would take my evening dose an make it worse. My clogged artery is also doing much better. So 2 pieces of good news from vein and vascular. And I guess I get to live another day!
Wow. Nice weather in Buffalo in winter?? I do not remember days like that. My sister lived in Cassadaga for a few years and she used to report amazing snow totals down there. I think she was right in the middle of the lake effect snow zone. I remember numerous 3' snow storms when we lived downtown Buffalo on Crescent ave back in the 60s. As a kid I thought everybody got snow like that.Hi MoBeans,I live right in the city, today we got 2 inches unlike areas south of here where they get the bulk of the snow. Its been a weird weather pattern the past week, no snow on the ground, Fri's high was 61, yesterday with rain it hit 40,today temps in the 30's Sue
