I think a polecat is similar to a weasel.I discovered this fascinating topic kind of late in the game, so maybe you've discussed this already. But in some parts of the U.S., isn't a skunk also called a polecat?
A polecat is a skunk.I think a polecat is similar to a weasel.
Ugh, agreed. I mentioned this back in Post 37 in this thread. Gross.People that chew tobacco give me the "icks". I know they think it's less offensive than smoking but it's just as bad.
Last week at the gym, guy walks over and spits his chew into the trash can, takes a sip of water and proceeds to brush his teeth with his finger, takes another sip, swishes it around his mouth and spits it out in the trash can. So after that everything he touched with his brushing finger got his spit juice on it. That's one of the reason I wipe every handle at the gym before I use it.
I have also saw....at a house warming party the new owner in the kitchen preparing food walking over and spitting his juice in the sink several times, than turning on the water for a splash like that washed it down. I did not eat anything.
At a cook out the guy manning the grill spitting his juice into the grill as he was cooking. Again I did not eat.
Buying carpet the owner came to talk with me and his mouth was so full of chew I couldn't understand him. I told him I would never deal with such an unprofessional and I walked out.
When we had a business we passed a no smoking policy, but my partner decided chewing would be OK. I had to stop it almost immediatly because these guys were sticking there fingers in their mouths and then touching things that others used, also dumping their spit bottles in the trash which would then leak, or walking by the wash sink and spitting into it.
Such a nasty habit.
I've seen it in real life.. and it IS repulsive.I've never seen that in real life I've only ever seen it on American Westerns..I think it's repulsive
People (adults especially) who pick their nose in public. You'd be surprised how many do, especially men.
Same for me. Well, in westerns plus some professional baseball players back in the day.I've never seen that in real life I've only ever seen it on American Westerns..I think it's repulsive
For me it is hotsy totsy gossips. Our pastor's wife many years ago fit that description. My simple response when confronted with gossip, "I don't wish to participate in this discussion" My wife said I was rude to say that, but at least I never heard anymore gossip from her...something/s that wouldn't trigger most people..but for some reason makes you feel queasy....or disgusted
Not the taste of food..or the sight of your partner..lol... but some every day thing that really gives you the Ick
Mine is Vloggers ( youtube creators) who drink and or eat while talking or presenting on their Youtbe channels.... it makes me turn the video off immediately , I cannot stand it
The worst one was the other day... a very serious channel which covers legal issues.. the guy was sitting there munching into an apple right into the mic... *urgh*

Your thread reminded me of a current beauty trend I find kind of an ick, tatooed eyebrows. You don't notice they're tatooed at a distance but when you get close it's a yikes! Some of today's fashion trends give me the "ick" such as lip enhancements and face piercings. WTF are women trying to do? It looks hideous!
I guess I prefer the natural look.![]()
I blame the entertainment media for their role in influencing young women to speak fast, and in speaking styles that make it difficult/impossible to understand.Listening to young women talk while stressing the last word of the sentence. Uptalk. It drives me crazy.
It's not always young women.. a few years ago, I knew a couple of guys who did that uptalk nonsense.I blame the entertainment media for their role in influencing young women to speak fast, and in speaking styles that make it difficult/impossible to understand.

well excuse Meeee...for living..lol... I always wear gloss lipstick..or lipgloss... this photo taken yesterdaySome of today's fashion trends give me the "ick" such as lip enhancements and face piercings. WTF are women trying to do? It looks hideous! When I see someone like that on TV, I usually change the channel. I just can't stand to look at it.
Also, gloss lipstick. It makes women's lips look like they're all wet and slobbery. Who exactly is that supposed to appeal to?

I once picked up a guy from the street as a teen girl and took him to a small church. There was an insane sweat stench. I thought it was me, so I went to the bathroom, washed my armpits with soap, come back, same penetrating stench. I go back again twice, doesn't work. Eventually I gave up. One woman was laughing because she saw me go there and to her it was obvious that it was that guy. This is probably universal, but people that smell bad in any way makes me seriously nauseous. If one is recently sweaty or musty from physical activity, that's tolerable. But stale body odor, sour, putrid, filth, crust, rotten, urine, feces, or the like makes it difficult for me not to outright puke![]()
I'm not clicking on that in case someone is eating or drinking.....
No he's interrupting when the music just starts to get good, but he doesn't eat luckily.I'm not clicking on that in case someone is eating or drinking.....![]()
LOL... I've never been a lipstick, lip gloss, or Chapstick wearer. When DH & I were just married we were watching a movie or TV show where the heavily made up, beautiful young woman said to a guy, "Kiss me, darling!" My husband said under his breath, "First wipe all that sh!t off your mouth..."Also, gloss lipstick. It makes women's lips look like they're all wet and slobbery. Who exactly is that supposed to appeal to?
