Yes, it was a retirement move. One obvious disadvantage, particularly now that I’m widowed, is the absence of family. I have a few family members here, but I don’t see them very often. One huge advantage is the slower pace of life, excellent and affordable healthcare, and nice weather.Welcome!

I am in Chile. But I agree with you: Buenos Aires is probably one of my favorites cities in the world!Welcome! You will find a lot of great people in this forum. If you don't mind, let us know which country you live in. I've been to Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. All are beautiful in their own way. I'm partial to Buenos Aires.

I literally spent one night in Santiago. I flew in for a conference, attended a dinner and flew home the next day. There was a hurricane headed to South Florida so those of us who lived there had to fly back home to prepare. I was robbed! I would have loved to have seen more of Chile.
