Good morning @Kaila and all. As I mentioned yesterday, youngest son brought round a card and present as he will be away today (Mothering Sunday in UK). I opened the present and card a few minutes ago and... coincidence or what?..the card has a picture of a shih tzu on the front and looks so much like Rose's lovely dog.

When I read the first line I thought my son had gone all sentimental, which is not like him, we both share a dry sense of humour and like humorous cards. Then I read the line underneath the picture. I feel RadishRose would have enjoyed this.

I managed to get one of the 2 tasks, done. 😊

I helped with cooking/ preparing chicken, that we will puree, then freeze in portions, so we can eat it with suppers or lunches.

My other important task awaits me.

I did it! I found a washer and was in & out of the store in 13 minutes! The one I'd wanted was simply too expensive online so I chose another. BUT I got there and the first choice was on sale starting today... with a really nice discount and I think maybe a rebate coming as well. Now I can rest. :giggle:

Oh, best part... the place I looked yesterday was going to take 10 days to deliver. But where I bought will have it delivered, installed, and tested *tomorrow!* Whew, so now I can catch up with what's going on with y'all. Anyone causing trouble? 🧐
 
Happy Monday, Kaila & Friends! For anyone in the line of severe storms and tornadoes coming today, stay safe! I know that covers a number of our K-Posse members from the Midwest, South, and all the way to the east coast. For me, it will be very strong wind (up to 75 mph), severe thunderstorms, and elevated risk of tornadoes.

Just a quick hello, hairdresser will be here in the next ten minutes to give me a much needed haircut. Also had notification that a parcel will be arriving. I was given a delivery date of tomorrow but it will be arriving today. Not a problem as I'm not going anywhere. Grandson texted to say he's coming round too. He's a happy lad@Medusa as his team won 3 - 1 yesterday. I'm happy too as the tickets were my Christmas present to them both so I was very pleased that they were able to see them winning.

Okay, better go. Hope everyone is safe and well and not being blown away or caught in thunderstorms!

With this afternoon expected to have the strong wind join in with the rain, and thunderstorms?

But I don't think it will be severe , here.

I need to take dear husband, to a short non- complex med check, quite soon.

I think we will be home, before the storm becomes stronger, in the afternoon.

Holy crows, @CallMeKate; I noticed, of course, that it was a bit damp and rainy on the first Lucius walk, but had no idea about the upcoming weather. I've just checked and sure enough, we're under a tornado watch. Like you though, it looks likes it's mostly going to be storms and strong winds. Oh well, Lucius likes the wind. 🐕‍🦺

@Pam, that's great that your boys got to see Man United winning in person! How fun. :) Nice that your gift worked out that way. ⚽🏆

---Boyfriend was very happy on Saturday that the Hammers managed a 1-1 draw against Manchester City. It's pulled them out of the bottom three for now. Hopefully, they can hold onto it. 🤞

@Kaila, safe travels on your med visit with husband; I hope you do get home before the weather. 🤗

Husband is off today and napping just now. We caught the second half of a hockey game last night and, hopefully, will have a full game to watch this evening. Disney+'s coverage seems to be getting a bit sketchy as we get closer to playoffs.

I'm going to take Lucius out again pretty soon and I'm hoping we'll miss any upcoming storm weather.

Husband and I were both, thoroughly worn out from our outing , which shouldn't have been so difficult, but it was. 🙄😵‍💫🙁
I'm not sure which was worse... struggling myself, or watching him struggle. 😭

On the plus side, we arrived back home safely, we accomplished his appointment, the weather was poor but not extremely threatening, we got food and rest afterwards, there's a chickadee and a nuthatch at the window, and we don't need to go anyplace , tomorrow!😊😁😄

Well, that's quite a few pluses, after all.
