I know we are scattered hither and yon, but I am curious to know if you have visited any other members Face To Face.

Yes but not from this forum and it was in the U.K.

Thank you, ladies!

Maybe I should start a blog about my adventures getting to Canada ...

"Day 38: I'm somewhere in Ohio - not sure where. Maps are gone, as are the dogs - they left me after we crossed the Ohio River. Food running low. Clothing in tatters. I have only my Boy Scout manual and a dull pocketknife. I will keep on until the end. "

The dogs are all set ...

As for me - I used to SCUBA dive, so no problem. I'll fill my tanks with helium so I'll float. I might talk a little funny when I get to shore, though ...

That's the ticket! Looks like our sea monster Ogopogo, who lives in Lake Okanagan in BC desert country. You talk funny now, I will never notice, Mr. Fudd. Hahahahahhahahahaha. Pleeeez sing Springsteen's "Fire" aka fiwa. Rotflmao.

We want photos of this historic meeting, ya know!! ;)

I'm pretty sure it will be written up and photographed in most of the big magazines. CNN and all the other news stations will be covering this historic meeting. The President and the Prime Minister will fly in to congratulate us.

The book and movie deals will come later.

Back in 1985, we pilots at United had just started returning from being on strike. I had been with United for only two years and was rated to fly Boeing 737's. We were very short-handed due to the pilot's being slow to return, so my supervisor wanted me to fly the New York to Toronto route as one of the legs for the next three days. I could have (actually, I should have) turned down the request, but I took on the assignment. My first trip into Toronto was a disaster. I had been put on hold from landing for almost two and a half hours with B.S. explanations. I believe the only reason that I landed when I did was because I told the ATC that I was down to less than 1000 pounds of fuel. When I finally got into the pilot's lounge, I called my supervisor and told him that I had flown my first, last and only flight into Toronto, but reconsidered and flew the route the next two days. (I believe we no longer fly that route.)

I'll stay tuned to CNN! Who do want to play you and the mermaid in the movie?
