Winter can be beautiful!

And Di very much appreciates the piccys TICA. They are just 'other worldly' bewdiful and I've copied a few to my landscapes gallery collection. Thank you. :)

.... but... I just can't imagine living in it! It's what you're raised with and used to I guess but I detest the cold. My blood freezes at 20c. (68f.)
The coldest temp I've ever experienced was one morning when it dropped to -7C (19f.) in Singleton and I honestly thought I'd die.

At 19 degrees I switch from short-sleeved to long-sleeved button-down shirts ...

Still wear the cargo shorts, though. :p

TICA, those are beautiful shots, but for me it's like looking at pictures of my high-school prom: it looks nice, but I'd never want to be there again in person.

I don't know where they were taken, but it also makes me cold looking at them. I do love having four seasons though and the trick for winter is to dress warm and in layers. There is nothing like tramping through fresh fallen snow.

Especially love the B&W shot of bright white on the left half and dark, dark, dark on the right with a dark figure in the snow feeding white swans in the water. Wonderful composition!

Woke up this morning to several inches of snow. My place looks like a winter wonderland. Was going to take some pics but couldn't find my camera. I'm sure I put it up in some safe place. Between 3 and 5 degrees to night;things should be sparkling in the morning. Don't get that cold here often. I had on so many clothes today, I'll probably need help getting them off.

Stunning photos; thank you, TICA!! We got about 10" snow last night, and it is just beautiful. The cold that always follows isn't fun, but still love gazing out at the white sparkling landscape, with tiny flakes falling from the trees.

I wouldn't like living where there were no seasons...even when we are tired of Winter, here comes Spring!!

We have all four seasons. I do not like winter though, because I hate to be cold. I do like looking at snow however, if it is just once a year. The ice we can do without, it causes too many problems.

I agree Anne. We live in a place virtually without seasons apart from the temperature drop & dry in Winter and the heat & rain of Summer.

I like Winter best, can't stand the heat & humidity which we have right now. :(
